Well, I really wish they would. Ive read that New Line has shown interest in making both a Flash film and/or a Green Lantern trilogy, yet Warner continues to turn them down. I don't understand why, it's not like Warners has gotten off there asses and turned any one of these properties into films, and I personally feel that for one reason or another, Goyer's Flash will never see the light of day because it will be pushed aside for Wonder Woman. The past 8 years, since the first Blade, comic book movies have been popular, and even though they had trouble getting off a new Superman and Batman, Warner could have made some extra cash on gotten comic fans back on there side my making a Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, or possibly Aquaman film that was faithful to the comics and done by an intelligent and caring filmmaker.

It's sad to think that it's up to one film company to get all of these great heroes on the big screen. I'd prefer to get a kick ass Flash movie by the way.

It'd be a great idea, but giving it to other companies risk the movies being low quality, instead of high quality. Companies could also rush, which hasn't really been a great thing for most Marvel movies.

New Line did make A History of Violence, which was a graphic novel by Paradox Press, technically making it a DC comic, so it could work. As long as it's not given to Fox or Universal, I'm fine.

New Line Cinema is a subsidiary of Time Warner. According to their latest Annual Report, Time Warner's filmed entertainment unit, Warner Brothers (WB) produces films wholly on its own or under co-financing agreements with other production houses and also distributes completed films produced and financed by others. The WB has co-financied projects with Village Roadshow Pictures, Legendary Pictures, and Virtual Studios in addition to an exclusive distribution arrangement with Alcon Entertainment (“Alcon”) for distribution of all of Alcon’s motion pictures in domestic and certain international territories. Films that appear to be hits, like the "Harry Potter" series for instance, tend to be wholly financed by WB whereas film that appear to them to be a risk will become co-financed or independantly financed by another production company. Under this pretense, it is definitely possible that another film company could produce a film of a DC comics character but I would expect to see the WB involved in its distribution.

You could totally do an amazing Green Lantern movie for about $120 million. ROTS was less then that. LOTR (each) was about $95 million.
