I don't care if he is playing Commissioner Gordon, J.K. Simmons return please.

Treat it a bit like Jedi Dench's M was in James Bond, even though there's been a reboot, the character & actor/actress remains the same.

Make the J in Michelle's character Jameson, and make her JJJ's daughter/granddaughter.

I absolutely love this idea. It would certainly make the Michelle character more interesting, and Denzel Washington is fantastic when it comes to scenes involving anger. Denzel would make for an amazing JJJ.

If they go a more comedic route for the character, Terry Crews is also a choice I like.

I would be 100% on board with Denzel or Terry Crews.

Still not sure how they'd tie him in with Scorpion without making him an outright villain though.

Well that was fast. Good look too.

But I want Terry to be Lobo.

Whoa... now that's an interesting idea.

Does anyone see a big name actor like Denzel Washington taking on a supporting role, though?

Glad to see the Terry Crews love here.

Why not? Anthony Hopkins is Odin and Samuel L. Jackson is Nick Fury (even if the character is based on him).

I don't see why not. I was surprised when they announced Robert Redford was going to be in The Winter Soldier for a role that's essentially not as important as JJJ.

Yeah, but when's the last time Washington as of recent was a secondary character to a main cast? Plus, Fury at least had a sizable role in Iron Man 2 and The Avengers. For Washington, I could see it depending on how much screen time Jameson actually had.

Sure, I could say the same for Laurence Fishburne playing Perry in both Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice, but even as of recent, you don't see Fishburne in a ton of lead roles in film unless I've missed something. Denzel, by comparison, he's still pretty much a leading man. I'm not saying this couldn't happen or that it's a bad idea, just trying to see Denzel as a secondary character.

Yeah, I definitely see what you mean. Everybody and their mother seems to be joining the MCU though, bit part or not, so who knows. Maybe he'll do supporting for once.

Anthony Hopkins, Glenn Close, Robert Redford, Michael Douglas, Benicio DelToro, Jeff Goldblum, Sylvester Stallone... even RDJ basically only had a supporting role in Homecoming

Weller is actually an interesting choice.

As for Denzel, I think he'd do it if he liked the role.

Cranston still my favorite.

I suppose JJ Abrams could direct Spider-man.
We already got one remake with TASM, I don't need him to make another.

(I'm exaggerating, but please, JJ Abrams is a prime example of a director that lacks vision)

Love this idea and good point. He can still grow out the 'stache and wear the wig.

Terry Crews is also an amazing casting choice. I could imagine him being Michelle's over protective father, so large and imposing that he manages to even frighten Peter. However, he takes a liking to Peter, so he offers him as the IT for the Daily Bugle. I need this casting and plot idea to be a thing. Someone get Kevin Feige or Jeph Loeb on the horn!
