Wishing for a Live Action Batman Beyond

Im sure they'll think about doing a Batman Beyond film once Nolans series is over. Perhaps even sooner. The series was a success. And there were some good stories. Theres no doubt the movie, if done correctly, can be a Box Office success. And im sure WB would go for a more non obvious choice for Bruce Wayne.

It is a very interesting concept for sure. But I always boil it down to writer & director. Who would you trust to write & direct Beyond? Someone new, with a fresh idea? Or someone else established already?

^ Batman Beyond always reminded me as a futuristic Burton Gotham. So i would have to say have Tim Burton back for a Batman Beyond film

^I think someone like Robert Rodriguez under the helm would be sick too.

^Yeah but i feel like Burton should have another Batman film under his wing, after Shumacher took his job pretty much and look how that turned out

Clint Eastwood as old man Bruce is so cliche.
Stephen Collins would be badass as Bruce Wayne.
I think Diane Lane or Julianne Moore would make an amazing Barbara Gordon as well.

Tim Burton is always very 'fairy tale' though and I don't think he could deal with the visual effects as well as other directors. A great deal of the film would have to be green screen.

Then maybe Zack Snyder?

Have you seen Mars Attacks?

I'd say Michael Keaton for Bruce, and Stockard Channing for Barbara. Not sure about the rest just yet.

thats what i said! i dont know for barb, howbout lustin long for terry, he will look fort ever young

Nah, Long looks too old for Terry and he's not quite right for the role.

The only choices for Barbera to me is Julianne Moore or Gillian Anderson.

ok i coudnt think of any one else, dont know why long came to mind, time to google terry mcginnis, see if any celebs pop up, and its only right to use the first good bats/bruce, even though keatons balding

Tim would be a good choice I think to make again. For Batman Beyond, there is no one who stands out so much you think of for this project.

Or Chace Crawford? Eh, maybe?

Dude, Babs is like, 60 in the show, they are both too young.
I'd say she was more around mid to late fifties because Bruce looks to be in his mid to late seventies and I always imagined they would be about twenty years apart...

Anyway, i know she's older then those actresses the they need to cast someone who can play both "Commissioner Gordon" and "Bat Girl" hence why I think they should cast someone in the middle.

I lvoe both of em ,but ya, I agree with you.
My choice is still Susan Surandon.

IU don't like him for the role.

Cute and decent choice, but not how I'd picture Terry.
Whats wrong with Dekker? Good looking, decent actor, around the same age....

What about Kevin Zegers as Terry?

He's only 24. Actors play younger all the time. Look at most of the HSM cast.:cwink:

But I digress.
The HSM cast were all between 18-22 during the first movie, except for Monique Coleman who's surprisingly 28 now. They weren't far from being teenagers.

I'm not saying they need a 16 year old actor, but they need a younger looking actor. Dekker is the right age to look at. Teen to early 20's is the way to cast Terry, not mid to late 20's.

terry was 16 or 18 when he met bruce for the first time
