The Amazing Spider-Man With Great Power, Comes Great Lounging - Part 10

I hope for a new cast except Caine! No Marion Cotillard this time

Red sun radiation and magic.

If I passed the yellow sun and started absorbing the red sun's radiation, what would happen? lol :D

It's a theory by Kip Thorne and was a project that's been talked about since '07 that Jonathan Nolan is still signed to write I believe. Been waiting for it for years.

Here's hoping for the best

Why not Marion? She was perfectly fine as Talia in TDKR besides her death scene, lol.

What ever happened to Gwen Stacy (the user)?

London?

Whatever strength the yellow sun gives you will be cancelled out.

Midget Vultures, Doc Ock Spidey is going to get it on with MJ and a Spider-Signal...

wow Marvel...wow...

Doc Ock isn't going to "get it on" with MJ. Dan Slott is ****ing with you. If you know how Superior #1 ends, you know that nothing big is going to happen between Ock and MJ.

And personally I think the Spider-Signal is hilarious.

Hilarious in a bad, bad way, lol.

Was I right about the midget Vultures?

I hope Slott doesn't keep the whole [BLACKOUT]Peters' Soul Guiding Otto [/BLACKOUT]thing. I'd prefer this to not be another OMD and it some how gets reversed or somethin'. Granted, I can't hate Slott too much for this, I've like the issues of Spidey with him attached that I've read.

Thanks. I'm not really good with events like this so I'm usually nervous and I think of everything that can go wrong. Thankfully, none of the things I thought of occurred.

Yah, I get your point...because plenty of people get bitten by radioactive and/or genetically enhanced spiders as well.

Your point being?

Clark Kent is Kal-El trying to be a normal human but that doesn't even work out in a positive manner as Clark still feels like he doesn't belong which can relate to a lot of people even in this day and age.

Parker is a human being,Kent is an alien
Parker is defeatable,Kent is virtually invincible
Parker's powers is relatively limited,Kent has ridiculous quantity and quality of power
Parker is a teenager(Not much of a point but since a lot of the people reading comics/watching cartoons/movies are around that age,it counts)
Superman's power is ambiguous,he is invincible but can be killed by a rock? And his greatest enemy is a old bald puny human?
The way he hides his identity is hilarious,he combs his hair and removes his glasses and suddenly no one can recognize him?
Spidey has a better and more interesting rogue gallery

Some of the reasons why Superman is not relatable and an outdated character

The character of Clark Kent IS relatable, just not the powers as much as SPIDER-MAN, powers and all, is not relatable, but the character of Peter Parker is.

You're making it seem like actual superheroes are relatable and not just the person behind the hero persona.

Why not Marion? She was perfectly fine as Talia in TDKR besides her death scene, lol.

She was good in Inception. But other than that she annoys me a little. It's not that I dislike her alot but she's the one I'd miss the least if she's not in the next film. I don't get what Nolan sees in her that is above others to be honest. I'd much rather have Anne Hathaway take her place as one of Nolan's new core cast. I didn't like her much before but she was one of the best things in TDKR for sure and she seems great in Les Miserables as well.

Michael Caine is a given, which is confirmed already pretty much. Since Christian Bale is my favourite actor, I wouldn't mind him returning either. I can totally see Bale as a very smart villain, that would be cool! I don't know if Bale's ever been a villain before, it would be very interesting to see that!

A return of Hugh Jackman (another one of my favourites) would be cool but maybe it would be too much to have him and Bale in another film together.

Someone mentioned Fassbender in another thread and that would be awesome, he could be a great villain too and he'd fit Nolan's kind of films like a glove! I can also totally see Brad Pitt in a Nolan movie!

No Joseph Gordon-Levitt, please! I'm happy he'll be in GotG, but I don't want to see him in EVERY film and he's not extraordinary great compared to Nolan's other actors. As great as Tom Hardy is, I wouldn't mind to see him replaced this time.

Viggo Mortensen is another interesting actor! And, Swedish as I am, I'd love to see Peter Stormare in a Nolan film!

So in other words:

Keep Michael Caine and Anne Hathaway. Keep Christian Bale, but only if given a more unlikely and fresh role this time such as the villain of the film. The rest should be new ones.

That's why I never mentioned both Bale and Jackman being in Interstellar. One of the two, but definitely not both, although I do think we'll be getting at least four or five of the usual Nolan collaborators.

But, mind you...the plain Nolan haters will bash this and say "Interstellar, starring the cast of TDKR and Inception."

You think people would understand that this isn't a new thing with directors having these collaborators that they enjoy working with. It's as silly as saying Nolan should not be partnering up with Warner Brothers, lol.

Four or five would definitely be too many IMO.

Of course people understand that. But to have the same main big number of guys three times in a row would be too much. That is actually something that would take me out of the movie. It would feel like Nolan cares more about having those guys than the film itself.

Tim Burton has Johnny Depp and that lady I've forgotten the name of. Raimi has the cameo guy and from now on possibly James Franco. But that's about 2 guys average. 4-5 guys is another thing (though it's only been for 2 films so far but 3 would be too much). Marion Cotillard isn't so good that she's irreplaceable, neither is JGL. Bale is so great, it would feel a bit like a waste of potential to cast him as the leading protagonist again. He should be the antagonist for sure, I think Bale would nail it! But for the rest, there are so many awesome character actors out there, there's no reason to not replace any of the Inception guys.

Sure we don't know the roles of the film yes but I don't see why JGL or Marion Cotillard should be irreplaceable. I'm sure they are great people to work with but come on, it would feel silly! In Nolan's films, the story is often so good that it really brings out the best of the actors and it would be a shame to not let some others get that same chance and for us to see some other faces attached to it.

By the way, seeing as I love Marc Webb's style in both of his films, I'd love to see Emma Stone become "his" actress. She fits perfectly for Webb's style if you ask me.

So FX can pretty much show Machete uncensored, but during The Other Guys they have to redub "****."

If it is the same cast I won't really have an issue. As long as they aren't playing just the same characters. And no Cotillard.

I never really got how people said: "Starring the cast of Inception". I mean 5 are in it, but they don't play the same type of roles, (most of them).

Agreed. I never mind a director collaborating with the same people when they play way different characters.

But, people complain just to complain as well, haha.

I don't think it would be too much at all with four or five past collaborators in Interstellar, especially if we see Jackman when we only last saw him in Prestige, or maybe bringing back Ellen Page as well. I definitely don't think it will only be guys we saw in Inception and then in TDKR, but maybe people seen in Inception or Prestige.

Bringing Nolan and Webb(his first film) together...this guy!

But, to Gwen Stacy being Webb's actress....I don't really see it, but you never know.

No doubt Clark Kent is a little relatable but Superman as such is ridiculously non-relatable

I dont seperate out the Superhero and the face-behind persona,I see them together
