Who is Spider-Man showing his secret identity to in the SB footage? He still has a secret identity so I don't see what the problem is. And Venom is a villain that MUST be brought back to the big screen.

His mask is off, and Gwen is standing right beside him
In one of the bits I recall seeing in that video

Spider-Man will never not show his face.

Has Iron Man not shown his face to the enemy? Captain America?

The X-Men never have masks anymore, Thor never wears his helmet, Batman has a half mask, Superman?! Blah! We are lucky Spidey still has a mask these days.

I think its a piss poor reason to lose interest in the Spider-Man franchise.

Iron Man said he's Iron Man to the public by the end of the first movie
Compare Spider-Man to Superman and Batman, they kept their secret ID's in films, why can't the same happen to Spidey? I want to see this happen to Spidey on film, to keep his secret identity a ****ing secret from his enemies, and not reveal his face or name to every single one of them

Rhino doesn't find out he is Spider-Man and neither does Electro (as far as we know).

In the Batman films, Ra's Al Ghul, Talia Al Ghul, and Bane knew Batman's secret identity.

Those three knew Batman in film, cause they know him in comics
The villains making exception to that rule are Two-Face and Riddler in Batman Forever

With Spider-Man, every villain is breaking this rule
In the unmasked bit, there is some thing similar to Electro knowing Peter's face

I've been demanding a Spider-Man movie where he doesn't show his face to villains, Venom (I still don't want him in this series) and the Osborn's aside
My wish is not fulfilled, and I decided not to expect a secret identity for future films

There will literally never be a live-action Spider-Man film where he doesn't show his face to the villains. You can count on that.

Well we're not counting the Raimi films since that is a different franchise. Just looking at this series, Lizard and Harry Osborn are probably going to know Peter's secret identity. Rhino doesn't know his identity, and Electro probably won't either.

An actor doesn't need a certain amount of exposure in comic books. Can't say the same with comic book movies.

From the looks of it though, based on the trailers and set photos, it looks like Spider-Man keeps his mask on in this film more than he does in the previous movies.

Eeeyyuch

I hope at the very least Rhino won't see his face

Rhino isn't going to see his face, at least not in TASM2, and I can 100% guarantee that. Harry/Goblin is obviously going to know who Spider-Man is, and as far as Electro goes… its a maybe.

At the moment, ASM2 and CA:TWS are kinda tied in terms of hype. Usually Spidey would be upfront but from all the goodies I've heard over at the Cap boards, my hype went through the roof.

I just find it hard for me to be more hyped for a Captain America film over a Spider-Man film. I think TWS looks very cool though, and is a close second in terms of what I'm looking forward to. DOFP is probably in 3rd or 4th place for me.

Well,Iron Man's and Cap's identity has been public,same with Thor,he is a Demi god

Batman didnt 'show' his face to the enemy,Ra's already knew his identity and Bane figured it out.Joker and Scarecrow didnt know

How different?
I doubt there is much of a difference

A superhero movie somewhat similar to say Mission Impossible or the James Bond movies
More emphasis on the plot/politics than on the superpowers.Atleast I hope that will the case

Thats something we havent seen in a superhero movie before

I am still looking forward to TASM2 a lot more though

Welcome back man. Haven't seen you here in a while!

And I agree. TWS looks unique and aiming for something different in terms of a message. Especially for a CBM. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hey thanks.I've been busy, exams and all

Though that might prove to be a blessing in disguise as I havent been part of numerous discussions here in which figure out most of the movie :oldrazz:

Half of Batman's enemies knew his identity in the Nolan films:

Ra's Al Ghul
Talia Al Ghul
& Bane

Then the other three (Joker, Scarecrow & Two-Face) never found out he is Bruce Wayne.

Overall I'm looking forward to TASM2 more. TWS looks very good though, I'm excited to see more Black Widow.

I agree,Maybe a first among CBMs to give a female character a substantial role kicking ass rather just being a damsel in distress/supporting role
