I seriously can't stand the constant bickering that goes on here sometimes. It's like a constant back and forth of people arguing about which color is the best,

"Red!"
"No! Yellow!"
"Yellow sucks! It's Red or nothing!"

Such a waste. Now, thanks to all that ridiculousness the mods have closed the General Discussion thread. I got up this morning, did a bunch of chores, all the while thinking "can't wait to get back on the Hype." It's like someone pooped in my cheerios. Lame.

So anyways, bad feelings gone...

I noticed the RT is up to 85%. Nice, nice, looking good. What time do you think we'll be getting some more reviews?

I see a lot of derailing and spamming in the general discussion. I think I'm pretty good at avoiding it/following the rules. I do sometimes feel compelled to enforce the rules, but I feel doing so adds to it haha.

It's definitely not a good thing, however, I don't see how the GD thread being closed for a week is so terrible? We still have other threads to post in? What's the big deal? Why so emotional? It's not like they shut down the boards in general.

It's pretty ridiculous and I don't think I've witnessed it elsewhere but here. Webb's Spidey sucks, Raimi's sucks, fight fight fight, cool off. Repeat.

I hope the final RT score stays somewhere in the 80s. I really do.

I think he's more sick of the constant bickering rather than the thread itself being closed. At least that's what I agreed with :P

I've learned to skip through posts like that. It doesn't bother me one bit... If it's that discouraging for some people I'd suggest speaking up to get the thread back on track if it bothers you that much. Otherwise just keep skimming until you get to some actual Spider-Man discussion haha.

Honestly, the thread being closed is probably a good thing but unfortunately it had to come to this for people to stop being whiny off-topic poo-poo heads and couldn't just relax and be good on their own. It kind of takes the fun out of coming on here and being a Spider-man fan--the whole point of why I come to this site in the first place.

I'm not emotional, just having a hard time grasping why people have to be lame about this stuff. But whatever, I don't want to dwell on this crap. We've still got a couple of threads open to discuss things, thankfully, so let's keep it rolling.

The definition of "General Discussion" has been bent lately. There's specific threads for specific topics, more than just a few of those found their way into the GD thread. Hopefully this will force people to think about where they're posting something before doing so.

Yea, but the reasoning is they warned people and those people still didn't stop so isn't the natural progression to ban them for a short period of time after that? Closing a general discussion thread that is on part 71 for a week because of a few bad apples doesn't make any sort of sense.
