You're talking to the wrong person, take it up with the MOD. I'm glad it was closed TBH. People know they mean business now.

Yea, but the reasoning is they warned people and those people still didn't stop so isn't the natural progression to ban them for a short period of time after that? Closing a general discussion thread that is on part 71 for a week because of a few bad apples doesn't make any sort of sense.

Punish the guilty, not the guilty and innocent.

Flickering myth confirmed that it rated the film a 4/5 in a recent article:
"It may have already screened for the press [you can read our spoiler-free ★★★★ review here], but tonight sees the cast and crew of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 heading to London for the official world premiere, and you can check out a live stream of all the red carpet action right here from 5.30pm…"

See, guys? The film is getting positive reviews.

Hey it's what's up? Did you hear the general discussion got shut down until Tuesday?

I know it's not your fault, I'm just talking in general. This is why forums like neogaf tick along all the time because people get warned and then if they continue doing what they are doing they get banned, that's how it goes. Anyways really excited to see the reactions from twitter when the premiere lets out.

No one said it wasn't, but the question is now can it keep it up, or is a bizzaro review gonna be a follow up to every couple positive ones?

Joe_Kickass I am not criticising your posts when I say this. Heck, I think you add balance to the thread in general. However, your posts may be misinterpreted by people as the fact that you are not looking forward to the movie at all and just looking for excuses to bash it. I also know that you have categorically said in many of your posts that you are looking forward to the movie. Now, when the thread reopens, I would advice you to add things like what you are looking forward to in the movie. If you don't want to follow the advice, I am okay with it. Just voicing my opinion.

Btw, just got the new EW.

Focuses on Dane/Harry.

Cool notes - said that they definitely wanted to pay homage to the classic Green Goblin but had to fit it in this realistic world. Couldn't look too much like a cartoon character.

The hair is definitely supposed to be a nod to Green Goblin's hood.

The suit is 50lbs. Took three guys to put it on.

He poured ice water down his back on set to keep cool. That's awesome lol, commitment.

Not naming names.....

Negative review: "See, problems with the script, seems they bit off more than they can chew..."

For me, I'm not so concerned about the few negative reviews, but rather how most of the positive ones are like 7/10, and how most positive reviews bring up some pretty critical points like the weak story etc.

It's exactly like that with one person in particular.

I see the humor has picked up in this movie. It seems consistent with reviewers.

No more realistic I want GG

What possibly could they be planning with Norman? :sus

We'll get the Goblin guys, give it time. Maybe he'll throw someone else off the bridge... Perhaps, the Laundry Sheriff?

It's possible the 'weak story' is more about all the other stuff they've packed into the movie ala the universe building items that may distract viewers from the main story. IMO for us Spidey fans, this movie will serve better. It may have some flaws in the overall framework but it looks like we'll be getting the best Spider-man yet. Meaning as a Spidey film it will be rated higher than as a film on the technical aspect.

Dang you get EW on Thursdays? I have to wait till Friday or Saturday (normally the latter as of late).

Yeah I hope you're correct! :) After all, I love TASM.

I hope I'm right too :woot:

But yeah, it's kinda like ASM. A technically flawed movie that worked great as a Spidey film. I think ASM2 will make improvements on both ends, moreso to the Spider-man aspect but the technical aspects are probably still lacking.
