The Amazing Spider-Man 2 With Great Sequel Comes Great Lounging - Part 7

Yes, 15 minutes is a lot I think, and it's not just 15 minutes in a row. You probably get 2 minutes of Max in the beginning (getting saved by Spider-Man), another 2 minutes of him at Oscorp talking to Alistaire, then 3-4 minutes here and there of us seeing his obsession growing with Spider-Man. Then boom--he becomes Electro!

It's certainly more than Doc Connors.

One thing I have to give the reviewers is that they have managed to curtail my expectations which were pretty unrealistic in the first place. It would make me enjoy the movie more.

I am glad they cut out
Norman's head. They would have written themselves into a pretty tight corner if they tried that. Now it would be easier to bring him back into the fold.

I need 7 to posts a review...

Well... That sucks. :(

Looking at his tweets, it seems that he WASN'T at the premiere yesterday.

I did that last night and he was tweeting whilst the film was playing so yeah, he didn't see it.

Plus, I thought it would be strange since I was pretty sure he isn't UK based.

Which is fine.

I'm assuming no one from the Hype went to the premier then lol...

Really?

I always had the impression that SWH was Italian, but lived in the UK.

Maybe. It was just an assumption of mine. Even so, I don't think he saw it. there were tweets of his unrelated to the premier whilst it was happening. Doesn't sound like a Spidey fan. I'd have #OMMFG!!!! trending just by myself.

Aighty.

Yeah, I doubt he saw the movie without telling us.

Will the London City Nights review make its way to RT? Are they a popular site?

I've never heard of them, but I sure do hope so...

There's actually quite a few really good reviews that won't make it to RT.

Which is sad because it needs all the positive reviews it can get before they start pouring in with volume...

Are Americans traditionally harsher with reviews? I have heard a few people mention the American reviews are more negative for some reason

Yes, they are. Us Americans are spoiled with our Hollywood movies, and our critics can be pretty harsh.

Look at TWS. It was in the mid 90's with overseas reviews. As soon as it hit the US critics it dropped 5%. Not as bad as I thought it would, but still a drop.

I would be so happy if TASM2 only dropped 5% from where it was right now!!

If it was right at 80% then that would be fine with me.

Look at it this way. If some of the more positive reviews do not make the cut, the negative 3/5s won't either.

It dropped 5% after all the oversea reviews had landed, or most of. We won't be at that point until a week or so from now.

David Morrissey (The Governor from The Walking Dead) is filling in as film review host for the BBC's Radio 5 and he loved Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Good to hear. If the movie is as good as the soundtrack, we'll be fine.
