It's too bad they made him sound like a Raptor. The sound effects in the 90's series were great! I wish they could replicate that in some fashion.

If he had spoken, I wanted him to have the echo thing they usually do, namely in SSM. Hopefully someone knows what I mean.

jamie had a shaved head at the mtv awards if anyone cares lol.

Here's the pic of Jamie Foxx at MTV movie awards,if anybody want to see him.

Looks like they are really going for Ultimate look

Hundred times better

And a transition of suits in the first film would've been aces.

thanks

Also, the way my version would've went, it wouldn't have been in a way "epic", like the movie so hard trying to be (in vain imo). They should've pulled an Iron Man-esque move, rather than make it a forced "epic blockbuster", they should've made it a cool fun ride with heart. And I'm pretty convinced that if Webb and the writers were given more creative control, the movie would've been exactly that

It's not a slap in the face at all. He doesn't go after Peter until he discovers his identity, what villain wouldn't? I'm putting Venom in his own league because he is created from the hate of Peter Parker, Goblin isn't.

Eddie had the luxury to know who Spider-Man was at the very beginning when he became Venom, big whoop. I think it's actually better that Green Goblin worked on figuring out the identity himself and then went after Peter Parker and not just Spidey.

How is that not "overly huge"? His muscles have muscles, way too much.

No, this would be Venom having muscles over muscles

What I posted could actually look fine in a film as I'd imagine the build of Tom Hardy as Bronson.

Nope, you're looking for a reason to not accept the truth

Ehhh, no...you're trying to have a reason to have your very opinionated list be fact that Green Goblin and Venom are Spidey's greatest villains, and that would be wrong-o. Green Goblin is indeed in the list, but not Venom

Find me two people here who prefer Lizard over Venom

Trying a bit to hard to try and get your opinion as fact now, aren't ya? Wanting me to find another poster now?

And you asked me a version of Venom which was good and I mentioned it,
You didnt mention that it had to be comic book

I didn't think I had to say we were talking only about comic books as I thought it was known from the jump. But hey, if we're talking about outside of comics...at least TAS-M's Lizard was better than S-M 3's Venom.

I was talking about Venom

And so was I. His stomach talking to Spidey was just dumb.

And what has the Lizard done which has had an impact on Spider-man?

I mentioned from the jump that Lizard's impact has more of the emotional pull from his own family and how Spidey is always trying to revert him back to Curt Connors. I thought you would remember that, guess not.

The majority doesnt think so

Because Venom made Spider-Man 3 such a phenomenal film :funny:

Okay,Agreed

You should just say that for the rest of our debate. It would save us time.

He actually is cool:word:

Like I said, in a nutshell.

Since we were discussing 'cars',I said 'cars'
I dont need to mention everything in every post

The structures are even more important and I am well aware of that, because that will probably be they way for Spidey to beat him
Making him run into a strong wall or a electric board of something(Its how he beat him the SM game in PS1)

So....you're now trying to defend your reason? I am fully aware that Rhino smashing into structures is much more important. Just stating facts that you did only say cars first, lol.

Sandman tossed cars to get away
Lizard did it to get to Ratha and ultimately kill him
Rhino will do it to hurt Spidey

Tossing cars is cool and it should be definitely done with Rhino because its almost his trademark
Nobody will complain that it already has been done

It's not Rhino's trademark! If anything, Rhino's trademark should be that he's utterly dumb as much as Doc Ock's trademark is that he's intelligent.

And Sandman tossed cars because his giant ass sandfist hit them while targeting the cops and then when he turned into a sandcloud while he was trying to fly upwards. Lizard was taking out any car he could.

Not the character per se but he is definitely understanding the way his powers are supposed to work(Which he failed to do with Lizard)

Ehhh....failed to understand Lizard's "powers"? That isn't true at all. Webb made Lizard, for the most part, act like a lizard, just minus being feral.

I agree to that myself but he was still not good enough

One of the weaker villians of the series

For only one episode appearance, he was one of the strongest villains of the series actually.

So,IM3 has got positive reviews on twitter so far from the Paris screening

Hope it does well

Still going to be cautious about it. The only review I have read is that it's the funniest film of the MCU. Still not a great sign.

To be fair, that's a lot of people after they eat Taco Bell. Except me, for I am used to it's effects...sad, isn't it?

At least you've become indestructible from Taco Bell's food, lol.

I would guess it's because it got into his mouth, so it would make sense (About as much sense as anything in a superhero movie can make) that it changed that when the suit was in control or whatever.

So weird. It is taken off like a mask when it shouldn't have when it was covering Spidey and then all of a sudden it is able to change Eddie's teeth, lol.

thanks

Agreed. TAS-M definitely felt like it tried to be something else. While it'll never change that I view BB as the best origin CBM, Iron Man did set up the scale on how to make a really fun and light origin film, which is what TAS-M should have been besides trying to hit the "Nolan demo".

Webb didn't try to make a Nolan demo however.

I'm sure Webb or the actors didn't want that, but I'm pretty sure that whether some of the producers would like to admit it, they without a doubt wanted to capture a little of the Nolan flavor

I was talking about Venom & etc.

For the love of God, will you just stop that already!?

A lot of superhero movies try to capture the Nolan flavor, but it's either ill fitting or...just no.

The only sort of Nolan vibe I got from it is that Spidey only appeared at night in the movie, which makes sense since Peter would have to be at school during the day. Based off Spidey's new suit though, which looks like it hopped right off the comic page, albit having TASM logo on the front and back, it might go for a lighter more comic booky tone, which wouldn't be that drastic of a change. Maybe Sony pressured Webb into making TASM as different from Raimi's movie in terms as tone and look as possible, and this movie will be what Webb really intends. It'll definitley be eventful though, and if all the elements that seem to be in this movie are all pulled off well, that should definitley silence most of the doubters (I say most because no matter how good this franchises movies are some people will downgrade it for being a reboot or not being owned by MS). It should at the very least be interesting and ambitious.

It's not that, it's that they're trying to do it to characters or stories that don't really work with a Nolan-vibe. Namely the realistic bit, something I'm getting sick and tired of people and producers saying/thinking we should have superhero movies be grounded in some realism and be dark.

Agreed.I mean come on Batman worked because he's supposed to be dark but why try it on Spidey.I mean really, the guy needs to crack jokes and have fun not be serious ALL the time.

I don't get a Nolan-vibe from most superhero movies. And I think that realism is a good thing. But it's also about finding the right balance between the fantastical elements and the ones that are more grounded. It works really well imo when they are able to get those things to mesh together.

If anything the film I got the most "let's do what Nolan does" vibes recently was Skyfall.

To be honest, Skyfall was a little dry. I hate how similar the villain is to Joker... It's almost a cheap knock-off

My friend thought the same.He expected to be a good bond actione movie but he found it really dry and the twist didn't help either.

I didn't get that personally. I just saw it as following what Casino Royale started.

Going off the Nolan subject, what do ya'll think of the Jamie Foxx's look for ASM-2?
I couldn't help but start singing 'dabade dabadi' when I looked at it.

I think we might get the best Spidey movie yet or close to it.
Not a lot of people are hating the Jamie Foxx look and that just goes to show
that Webb knows what he is doing.Nonetheless,I believe this movie will be

ELECTRIFYING

I really dislike the look and it made me much less excited about the film. While Lizard's design left some things to ask for (to look more beastly and scary, mainly), he at least looked original. Electro looks extremely generic and boring. I hope his suit makes up for it because I certainly don't want to watch a Spidey film with such a generic looking villain.

However, I do like the TSSM vibe from those set pics. I just hope Electro isn't too much of a poor-guy-who-does-mistakes like every other Spidey film villain.

Now I really hope at least Rhino will be cool.
