Also, it was more of a throwback design to Henry Hulls Werewolf of London than Chaneys Wolf Man.
I can definitely see the similarities.

Yup, the ones built by Amalgamated Dynamics/ Winston studios.
The first animatronic head I ever built was based on the Wolf-style "wide Jaws" head.
What do you mean "Wolf-style "wide Jaws" head"?
What is that?
I have a lot of love for Rintoul's look in Legend of the Werewolf. Similiar in style to Reed's makeup in Curse of the Werewolf, granted, only I found it looked a lot more feral and frightening.
The Werewolf TV series was a very cool show. I am still waiting for it to come out on DVD.
remember how the mouths opened really really wide in Wolf when the Jack and Spader Lycanthropes we're fighting (like actual canine jaws)? Like that, but it looked more like a vampire (according to others) because i didn't go too nut's with the hair.

Me too my friend! I want that DVD!
Geez! Legend of the Werewolf! I'd forgotten all about that movie. That's a pretty forgotten title. The movie has a decent story and Peter Cushing was pretty good in it too.
The werewolf is indeed very much in the style of Reed's Curse. Probably inspired by it.
It also provided [to me at least] the pretty damn iconic image of the werewolf wading through the darkly lit sewers looking for prey, with his shadow silouetted against the sewer wall.
Awesome.
Also, I know they basically mean the same (although the name could be used to distinguish between a bi-ped and quadruped wolf 'being' I guess) but is there any one else out there who shares the view that 'Werewolf' just sounds so much scarier than 'Wolfman' (or 'the Wolfman'? I've always thought so to be honest.
I dunno, I realise it's a purely cosmetic thing and really doesnt mean a jot, but still - just wondering.......................
Anybody ordering the Wolf Man 12" inch deluxe action figure? It's amazing looking.
I've looked at several sites, and all have conflicting release dates.
