Brett Ratner is a complete incompetent idiot! he should have the left the Wolverine ending where he goes back to Canada. it would have been a perfect set up for the Wolverine film. what do you guys think?

Yeah and then the whole "We stand together" speech and theme of the movie would have been for nothing.

AND iceman frezzing Phat! every deleted scene should have stayed in

They had a better alternate scene to be able to use that ending

Wolverine is going to be a prequel movie so that scene would mean nothing and take a huge step back from where wolverine has come over the 3 movies

and besides, that scene was so HORRIBLY done. Bad acting, bad writing, bad directing, bad cinematography, bad production design, just plain bad.

Yes, very bad. "Something like that" bad cliche bad!:cmad:

Honestly, I'm glad we didn't get that ending in the movie. It just didn't seem to fit with the movie at all. If they were going to put it in the movie they would have to put a scene with him leaving the mansion before it, or most people in the audience would be confused. Also as other people have said, it was poorly written.

Yeah he's an idiot considering Wolverine is a prequel to the X-Men films.

much like the film in whole, really dislike it now...

I got the X3 collectors edition from Target for my birthday, and it only had 13 deleted scenes :csad: I didn't get to see the one with Iceman freezing Phat. I got all the ones that were bad, like "Okay, Mr President... Shut the f*** up." But I think they should have kept the ending when Rouge tells Bobby "I couldn't do it, I didn't feel like getting a needle! I hate needles!" :woot:

I also got "Pyro tells Magneto about the cure" and "Pyro tells Magneto about the cure - BEARDED VERSION!"

Was there a scene with Colossus fighting Juggernaut? Because I heard there was...

Most of the deleted scenes should have been in there. I'm pissed the Wolverine ending wasn't considering it's the next X Verse installment. Damn it, Ratner. Damn it!:cmad:

Overall, I enjoyed the movie.

the whole damn movie meant nothing
prof x is still alive, we never saw cyk actually die
and apparently now, every one who took the cure is still a mutant
the whole movie was a waste of time, it was cool, but a waste of time

if, any thing, that scene should of been, wolverine's intro scene in the movie, like instead of having him at the mansion in the beginning, ("just passing through") he should of been at the bar, when Charles tells storm to go the lake, she calls him at he bar, telling him to meet her there (cause, lets just for the sank of this idea, say, that the bar is closer to the lake, so, he'd already be half way there) and thats she on her way there
then again he was pretty bad a** in the danger room scene, so, have him leave after that scene, (alil after Scott leaves to go to the lake) and he goes off to the bar, (scott has his scene with jean,) Charles Senses what happed, sends storm, then she calls wolverine, knowing he probably headed that way.
just saying it would of been an interesting way to keep that scene in the movie (and really to make better use of it, or atleast the using the same idea of him going back to that bar, the scene could be different, and shot a lot better)

and this has nothing to do with the Wolverine movie

You must have a pretty limited imagination if out of everything that could be changed about this movie you choose Wolverine hanging out at a bar in the beginning :)

That "we stand together" speech was absolutely pathetic... apart from being way too cheesy and awkward (especially for a movie trying to have a serious, darker tone), it just didn't fit in with any of the characters involved... the alternate endings were definitely a lot better in my opinion

Hmm, I need to get into the habit of reading all replies before writing my own.

I'm surprised to see so many people defending the last minute ending of Logan becoming the leader of the x-men/Beast going back to work for the government instead of the original with Logan being a loner and Beast and Iceman becoming teachers... A lot of times the ending of a film can make or break it, but whenever I've talked to people about it they didn't like the sugar-coated studio ending. Is it that most of the people posting on this thread really think it's a better quality scene, or just that they are trying to defend Ratner and the film?

I can go for defending Ratner, but X-Men is dying real soon unless FOX starts treating the property with some respect..

^ X-Men isn't dying anytime soon. Don't be ridiculous. That's a foolish fanboy opinion and NOT a well thought out business opinion. This is a franchise not a toy for FOX to play with and dismiss when a handful of crybabies didn't get the film they thought they should get. X3 did awesome at the box office and if people didn't like it they wouldn't have sent the DVD to sell in record #'s. There will always be bashers and haters but in the end the majority of moviegoers out there really enjoyed the film. SHH boardmembers comprise an insignificant amout of that box office total. The World doesn't revolve around us.
