I have a feeling that we'll get an exclusive trailer or preview or something...Any thoughts?

Well, word is that another trailer is due sometime next month, so, it's possible.

I think it's a great oportunity to promote the film

but I can't find anything related to the movie on the web yet, just two panels, one about the new animated series and another one for the game:

...Get an exclusive sneak peak of the video game, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which has already begun to generate buzz among the gaming community

ant this:
"Most Movie and TV Panels are Still Not Announced And Will Be Revealed Closer To NYCC."

That's why I'm scared. It's only a week and a few days away, only Watchmen and Terminator have been announced.

[rant] I seriously don't get why people doublepost non other than to boost their postcount. Just use the edit button if you missed something FGS.. It's already ridiculous that you can possibly miss something in a page with 5 posts.. [/rant]

I'm pretty sure that Wolverine will get a spot in NYCC. JustAnotherRandomGuy has been advertising for it and he made sure to make some Wolverine references there. Seeing as he jokes with the movies in his series, I have doubts that he means Wolverine's game pannel.

im sure there will be some wolverine love from the guys running the show or the special guests. but im wondering if it'll be stuff we havent already seen. such as a new trailer for the movie or some video of the new video game.

but tbh i can def see the crowd gonig nuts over stuff theyve already seen.

i remember seeing that. they made those real early on. back when the first shots of wolverine's origin movie came out a long time ago. they based it off the one's with jackman flexing with the claws and by the garbage bin. thats why you see it as part of the set

Maybe I just don't remember my childhood as well as I think I do, but is it just me or were action figures way, way way better back in the day?

Nope. You're remembering it right. Action figures these days are awful.

I'm not familiar with the Jeff Katz story, but he was asked about Wolverine at NYCC:

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=19953

Next up, a fan asked Jeff Katz about his involvement with the Wolverine movie coming soon from Fox, and rumored changes and additions during filming. For the most part, Katz avoided comment, referring to his departure from Fox, saying “They were really nice to let me out of my contract, and I don’t want to upset them. But he added “The stuff they have put in there is really fan friendly. The success of 'Dark Knight' allowed us to make changes to this film to make it more intense. We call it, and this is something Hugh Jackman says all the time, ‘The most bad-ass version of Wolverine.’ If you want to get an idea of what it’s like, check out the game [X-Men Origins: Wolverine]. That game is rated ‘M’ for mature because it’s so bloody.” Despite Katz’s reluctance to talk about his movie work for obvious contractual reasons, inquiring fans still wanted to know, and the next question was about a possible Deadpool movie, based on Ryan Reynolds’ reported cameo as the “Merc With A Mouth” in the Wolverine film. Again, Katz demurred but said, “Ryan is really hardcore into Deadpool.”

This was one of the best things about the con this year To bad the movie wont be as intense or violent as the game though

how do you know it won't be as intense or violent?

the guy brought up TDK because TDK was an R movie hiding inside a PG-13 movie.

in other words this is a serious action movie (TDK was a crime drama) which means the action will most lilkely be dry and violent. Gavin Hood specializes in dry and violent (Tsotsi, Rendition).

^ meh they always try to over hype it. both the game and the movie. we dont want to just see a lot of blood, but guts too. detail of gore i guess, thats what makes people twinge. i thin kthe first guy meant, if wolverien guts someone in the game and their intenstines fall out, he doubts there will be much of that in the movie.

No Wolverine at Wondercon either? Right before the release. What's going on with the lack of promoting?

Probably a lack of money. We've officially been in this recession for around a year I think, but it's hitting harder than it was before. Studios might not lack the money, but people either lack the resources or the interest now to even acknowledge any promotion going on. So maybe it's just a way of saving money. Everyone know's who Wolverine is. It really only takes TV spots now.
