Wolverine cable guts and glory

Im new to reading comics and am looking for sumthin to start. I like wolverine and like what ive seen of cable. I found the graphic novel "wolverine cable guts and glory" and was thinking of giving it a go but cant find any reviews on it. Just wanted to see if any1 on here has read it and see what they thought of it.

Never even heard of that one man. I'm sure some others on here have though.

For Wolverine I would recommend the original Weapon X stories by Claremont.

For Cable? His new ongoing is pretty good. And I've gotta big up Cable and Deadpool. They were like the Riggs and Murtaugh of the MU.

Deadpool isn't anywhere near too old for this s###...

And they're yet to have him rock a mullet flowing free from the bottom of the mask, either...

A mullet on Deadpool? Hilarity would ensue.

But I mean that one is the straight laced type who is dealing with his own problems (his powers going all mental) and he has to contend with an absolute nut case that might get them both killed.

Its kind of a pity that Cable's not with Deadpool currently, even for an ish.

I wouldn't be surprised to see writers play at that angle. We've already seen an ish packed choc-a-bloc with Die Hard references/hallucinations...

Yea I liked the start of Cable's new series. But it's kinda dragging on now.
