Hey guys, I was on a thread quite a long time a go. I'm not sure which comic thread it was, but it revolved around Civil War. Either way I've looked for the thread, and I can't find it.

So I'll get to the point. As more mysteries of the Civil War puppeteers are being found out in Wolverine, and all the dangling clues in the other main books, someone here figured something out a long time ago. But he/she was luaghed at.

It involved other points and names, as it was quite a cool way of getting from a) to b) but, at the end, Damage Control was mentioned.

When this person suggested that Damage Control may have something to do with an amped up Nitro, and other villains, this person was luaghed at, and someone said that there was no need to run DC's good name into the ground. I thought it was a cool theory, and forgot about it until I read the last issue of Wolverine. Last panel, there it is. The head of DC is involved in some way. This makes sense.

Well, I'm really trying to find the person that figured this out. If they PM me, I'll probably have a little something for them that they'll like.

Apart from that, anyone else got opinions or info in this conspiracy? Any ideas? Do you guys like the way things are panning out?

I think it's a pretty damn cool turn of events, and I'm really glad to see Damage Control being reintroduced finally. And not in the more comical manner as before, (don't get me wrong, I really liked the 1st take, I just feel that it's been done.) Now it has more of a creepy 'real word,' feel to it. Let's just hope the scum inside Damage Control get's found out and put in prison :)

I just want to know what they were smoking when they had Wolverine survive getting burned to the bones. That was just plain stupid. :down

Yea, even as a big Wolverine fan I found that completely moronic. Besides, in Days of Future Past, (one of the greatest X stories ever,) they laid it down as a sure fire way to kill him.

Anyway, that was completely off topic, if you're the person I'm looking for, or have any other cool ideas/opinions on the Damage Control turn of events, (even if you just like/know Damage Control,) speak up! :)

Asides from Wolverine surviving being blown up to his adamantium skeleton, the story has been rather cool

It's going to be explained...how, I don't know, but it's going to be.

interesting - now marvel's very politicized Civil War has a Halliburton villain behind everything...

Kind of... We don't know yet.

Right now it seems like there are a lot of people with a lot of agendas. It looks like a lot of things culminated and led to Civil War. Or are people orchestrating the whole thing? Or certain things? Who's using whom? Is the Civil War the result of various charachters not knowing when to stop, and have pushed certain boundaries too far?

One thing that is for sure, Damage Control has HELL of a lot to gain by amping up criminals powers. More devastation, more profit for good ol' DC

The big Misconception here is that Damage Control is being worked into the story as the orchestrator of Civil War. I thiunk that this is clearly not the case, but rather it's more akin to the idea that they have been supplying people with higher caliber weapons and suping up powers in general so thay damage in battles would be greater. I think it was just an unfortunate consequence that Stamford occured, not an overarching plan.

Care to elaborate more? I know random swearing is cool and all, but you've confused me

If you've seen this point brought up in other threads, then you'll totally understand why Darth said that.

I'm in agreement with you here, it's just quite fun connecting the dots

I've been through other threads, and I've been on these boards for years now. If you actually looked at the FEW points of why I made this thread, and the MAIN one of trying to find someone, then you'll see that saying stuff like bull**** is quite rude and pointless.

I know a lot of people here like to be cool and cynical about all the Civil War stuff, but quite frankly I can't be arsed to be like that. I came here to have a fun discussion. I don't think replies like that are fun, or give me more insight into people's thoughts

Like I said, anyone find the stuff I said at the top interesting? I like conspiracy stuff, if anyone's got ANY thoughts on the subject, even if they think I got it all wrong, say it

in November, when Wolverine's Vendetta story has finished up, the solits for the title say :

WOLVERINE # 48

Think you know everything there is to know about Marvel’s most popular mutant? Think again. Logan’s newest mystery begins here.

Then I suggest ignore him then, because he sure in the hell isn't going to go away for a few rants against him. And don't go yelling at me to look at the points you made, I didn't even comment on them.

HOWEVER, your points "above" (I always find that saying weird) aren't really all encompassing past they can make more money. They probably make plenty of money, and actually won't benefit after the Registration side just pins down everybody and arrests them. And then no more big superhero battles for the most part for them to profit from. So with what you've given me to think about, I can't really see them just jumping in behind it as the brains of the operation.

As for conspiracies, and seeing things from my point of view? I see it in a so much more twisted way.

Yeah I got a theory....Tony Stark's behind the entire thing.....trying to get back the millions he's lost.....he at one time owned 50% of damage control ......Before the SHRA went down, who was one of the only people to know it was being proposed?...Stark....

Can you imagine the boost the stock would get after the SHRA went into effect?.......that's why Stark was waffling from anti to pro in the beginning...he wanted to keep the bill down while he was buying all the stock.....once he obtained control of DC....he pushed it through like there's no tomorrow....and who can blame him??...getting paid to fix buildings you yourself blew up, whilst on the govt payroll? ...

Keep in mind the illuminati issue...Stark damn near predicts the Stamford incident.....how??..cause he was also behind Nitro...now I 'm not saying Stark wanted those children to die....likely that was an unforeseen consequence initiated by the New Warriors,...

.....but wait...wouldn't that mean Nitro would have the goods on IM?....maybe so...but he certainly can't hunt him down and kill him.....so while Iron Man's out arresting every non-registrant that sneezes....he allows Wolverine, a non registrant, to defy O.N.E and chase after Nitro....not only letting him go but helping him along the way via the mutant pardon he helped facilitate and handing Wolvie an Armour to help him get Nitro out of Atlantis???......wtf?? you say?......Iron Man wants Nitro dead.....who better to allow go after him than Wolverine?......

This would destroy Starks character you say??...the out is coming together in the Invincible Iron Man...extremis and the brain tumor....

...yes that's my theory.....:gg: ......it could happen!!!:thing:

The only probably with the Stark theory, is that he's lost his company before, and just decided to make a new company, and came back far easier than doing something like this. Especially with Extremis should this be easier.

And as for Stark predicting the Stamford accident. It was two parts: Drama, and the fact that he and Reed have predicting minds. Genius' hardly work in the here and now, but rather relate the present to the future as a means of doing things.

True but he didn't lose DC...he gave it up due to the other 50% owner the Kingpin...who is now conveniently behind bars.....

....and starting a new company is fine but if DC has all the government contracts?...what's the point?

I believe the point Darthphere was trying to make earlier was that Damage Control's being some evil conspiracy organization is a total bastardization of what Damage Control fans loved about it. Unless they're somehow being duped or they were taken over by *****ebags and the original staff is all off being their good old selves somewhere else, this reintroduction reduces what was once a safe haven of comedy and fun in the otherwise dark, grim and gritty period of comics into little more than corporate drug dealers. It betrays the spirit of the organization. Sure, it works fine in the context since Damage Control is a business and, as Marvel itself has shown, the mood and face of businesses can change, but to me, as a major fan of the organization Dwayne McDuffie created, it feels like nothing more than another in a long line of unnecessary darkenings of once-fun concepts in today's comics (and I'm including DC Comics in this, too, because they're just as guilty of it). I'm sure you'll write me off as another one of "those cynics who hate everything in comics," but you did ask for other opinions and that's mine (and Phere's, which I know because we've talked about it before).

Especially if he gave it up, I definitely doubt he'd go about trying to force it back under him. The basic would go that the SHRA, with the massive strike force it would attain, would go out, stop assumed bad guy, arrest and imprison him, and then no more massive amount of badguys. So the DC wouldn't have too much to do.

Beautiful. That deserves a Wolverine penis neck pic.
