Wolverine: The Official Promo Photos Thread

What if we're getting Japan in this one?

If not why else would they build a set like this now?

Getting hyped!

-TL

Maybe someone will knock out Wolverine, cage him up and have him shipped to Japan? He wakes up all confused and angry, growls...and end scene - roll the credits.

absolutely beautiful. The look is SPOT on. realistic, and hes never looked better as wolverine. in x2 his hair was just too gelled and bleh, in x3, well, his hair was just too much, was big and goofy at times. X1 had the gruff messed up/slicked back to stay out of my face look. looks like thats back, and i love it. the muscles are perfect, ripped and veiny, makes him look smaller(which is a good thing) and alot more vicious. The claws are as perfect as always. elongated for promos, just like the other movies. by the looks and feel this picture gives off, this will definatly get into the grittier aspect of wolverine, that x1 and a lil of X2 touched upon, instead of his cuddly leadership skills.

pumped.

Alright, lets get this puppy rolling.

Savage, why would you prefer a little cut-up Jackman (X1) than a Huge cut-up Jackman (X3) ??? And even though that pic looks severely altered, he's still big in it. The guy was tiny in X1 because he was cast late.

The hair-style is obviously his, not Wolverine's. The so called goofy "Pompadore" you're referring to will be back. And that's a good thing, because last time I checked - that's how Wolverine looks like in the comic.

-TL

Well that haircut looks more like the Wolverine of the comics to me than the pompadore. The pompadore looks too...greasy and well kept. It takes good effort to get your hair like that. In the comics it naturally just sticks out in that direction and that's what it looks like in that pic. Like the strands are on end. I like that...Come to think of it, it actually reminds me a lot of Ultimate Wolverine or the Wolverine on X-men: Evolution.

And Jackman wasn't cut up in the sequels. He was just big. I prefer a cut up, more animalistic Wolverine where you can see just about every strand of muscle and even when he makes the slightest movement you can see something moving beneath his skin. I mean in X1 he looked like he had almost no body fat. Very animal like. If he's able to get big while maintaining that animalistic look then more power to him.

Besides, I don't think he was little in X1. More average than anything else. Little would be guys like Shawn Ashmore. :oldrazz:

:wow: now THAT'S what i'd LOVE to see.

For the sake of continuity, I don't want Logan to be any more "cut" than he was in X1.

Cool first pic!
Jackman looks more ripped than ever (though the muscles do look a little manipulated:o ) and i'm actually digging the new hairdo.:wow:

You know, people change over the years. If Wolverine is more or less built, then it just implies that he either stopped or did more working out over the years.

Uh oh - it's too early for this, but there are some set photos that may really spoil things. A link was posted by AD before in the set photos thread. :o

:D I  U! bamfer

and please, i want to see this pictures

I might just be jumping to conclusions, but seriously do not click on these links if you don't want to possibly be spoiled this early.

I remember seeing some set photos from a link AD posted in the set photos thread, and assuming it was for another film. But now that we know that building is part of Wolverine...well...just look around.

Hugh Jackman in X1: 180 lbs. 10% Body Fat...

Hugh Jackman in X2: 200 lbs. 7% Body Fat...

Hugh Jackman in X3: 220 lbs. 9% Body Fat...

Savage, as you can see, Hugh's body fat actually lowered for the sequels. The man has basically become a bodybuilder in an effort to look more the part. As for the haircut, compare the above shot to the one below...

His hair in X3 is just a further effort by Hugh to get as close to the character as he can. Even if some people don't find it attractive.

omg, this is going to KILL me, i'm SO pumped for this now.... just... omg

I think it looks good for what it is - the claws are okay and I think they want to make his hair look different because he is supposed to be younger in age compared to the x-men series - I know he doesn't really age but he does have to look a tad different.

Hey, I'm still waiting on a Hulk image of the Hulk, so...

Sorry guys but those pictures are of the Korean Prison set from The Rescue NOT for Wolverine. It's over 20 years old (you can see 1986 on one of the signs) and it's now a tourist attraction.
