Woman wakes up with foreign accent

There are actually quite a few documented cases of this..

This is fascinating. And great break from all the damn depressing news threads.
 
Wasn't there something similar before about a Russian guy who was hit by a car or something and was knocked out. When he came to, he spoke in a perfect British accent.

I call shenanigans, or deep undercover spies with amnesia.
 
I read a story about an English guy who got hit on the head with a brick whilst working on a Building Site, and could suddenly speak German fluently.

It was in a comic granted, but, wow.
 
Probably just sounds like an accent, but it's really just his brain being damaged in the part that controls speech :p I took a class that talked about guy that it happened to.

Too bad they can't choose what accent they take on.

I really don't know what accent I would like if this happened to me :huh:
 
What about a..............Pirate accent! That would be sweeeeeeeet. :D
 
My mother is hugely into geneology. She's had the hardest time with a certain branch of my dad's family tree because apparently one of his relatives liked to move from country to country adapting their customs, languages and accents to better fit in with wherever he called home, even going so far as to change his name to something more fitting. Like, for instance, if he traveled to Finland he'd legally change his name to a Finnish name and learn Finnish to better blend in with the crowd.You know, I have the ability to learn and speak accents if I hear them enough times. It's a skill I acquired from being "the quiet one" and observing people. Now I guess I know why.

I liked the new accent... wouldn't be so sure I'd ever want to go back to my old voice if I could talk like that.

they called her accent "russian-like" but it reminded me of mohinders indian accent from heroes.

Mohinder's accent really isn't even Indian anymore. It kinda mutated to sound more English.
