Women and fighting games

Now, we all know that women can kick ass in video games (particularly Halo 2) but I've never really seen a female that played fighting games. Do women play fighting games at all?

I know a couple of girls who kicked ass in UMK3 and Darkstalkers 3... and they're very good on SFA3.(Not ass kicking good, but they could hold their ground) DoA female gamers rock!!!
