Women who are totally over-rated (alba/cuthbert/anderson)

I found an old copy of fhm with gillian anderson on the cover while I was cleaning out my garage the other day and it got me to thinking, why do so many women that really nothing special get worshipped?

For example: Jessica Alba, nice looking and everything but check her out in fantastic four, when she ties her hair back she looks awfull

Elisha cuthbert, again quite nice, but doing some slo-mo running in 24 doesn't make you a godess overnight

Basically what i'm saying is that people still look back at the likes of monroe and hepburn as icons but the pin-ups of the modern age will mostly be forgotten within 5 years...where did all the icons go?

but overrated? yes. what has she been in where she's really shown any notable talent?

i don't think the "pinup" girls such as Marylin had much talent either.
it was just their risque beauty that revolutionized the industry and iconized them.
but Hepburn? that was all talent. and beauty too.

Anderson is beautiful but in a subtle, business woman way. Cuthbert has that girlish charm. I think Alba is all about those full lips.

old age pin ups are not necessarily more attractive but due to the birth of cinema and all that jazz, they were simply the first of their kinds and the first always get more recognition than they really deserve, especially when it comes to unfortunate deaths that take their careers away from them at their peak.

exactly, what are they gonna do, hospitalise me with a witty retort. Use bright coloured text to temporarily blind me so I fall down the stairs and end up paralyzed. The concept of being afraid of another poster completely baffles me.

Angelina Jolie is massively overrated. She's not even pretty, which I think is the problems. She's beautiful like a piece of art or something. The problem is, hardly any of us would go out and purchase a piece of art. We'd rather pay for a car or a holiday. Y'know, something useful.
