    I use this site

    https://gifs.com/

I just paste the url of the TJ Hooker clip from YouTube into the box and then find the relevant section of the clip on the timeline so that it starts and finishes wherever I want.

I usually just find something that is relevant to the discussion and not just a clip of absolutely anything.

WW never knew she had such a strong association with TJ Hooker. :woot:

    You're welcome.

But use them sparingly and not for every single post.

Well it might not anymore if he doesn't come back to post. I hope we didn't scare him off. Or maybe some people did.

But Chris Pine could play TJ Hooker. In fact, during the alley scene in WW, he was giving off a more Shatnerised performance.

Nothing. TJ Hooker just hasn't posted for a few days. I think he might've been concerned that being more optimistic rather than low balling the box office figure might cause offence and then perhaps decided not to post anymore. That's kind of the impression I got from the last time he posted. But he's free to give a higher estimate if he wants. Everyone estimated the opening weekend and all the other figures differently during this run.

So today was the last day the movie played in the 2nd closest theater to me. So it lasted 2 months. Most movies around hear play for about a month and a half. So it last like 2 week longer then most movies. The theater closest to me the movie is playing there threw at least wed august 9th.

Zod damn, I just checked it. That's very good. Valerian was totally f**ked. The Big Sick, Baby Driver and DM3 lost big too.

Also good comparison with JW.

JW lost 34% of it's existing theaters at the same point in it's theatrical run while WW lost just 20% of it's theaters. WW is also blasting JW in terms of dailies and weekend figures atm. That's great for Wonder Woman.

JW got a fat and substantial Labor-Day expansion while the Home Media release was held off till 25th October. It benefited a great deal from the expansion and raked in a considerable amount of money. WW is releasing on DVD & Blu-Ray on Sept. 19th. That'll hurt to some extent, I mean it'll definitely eat into the BO collections. So the LD expansion for Wonder Woman is still up in the air. I hope WB are planning on doing something with it. WW, BD and DM3 are primed for success during the LD expansion period. Do it, WB.

The big early summer releases that do well seem to have Labor Day expansions pretty regularly, so I'm not sure why the studio wouldn't do something like that with WW.

I don't think the DVD release would affect the actual holiday much, since a lot of that is probably walk-up type of business.

It might effect the very late legs in september and october a little, but the movie won't be making much at that point. The studio probably wants to maximize the DVD sales as a priority, prior to the Justice League marketing push.

That means WW still has to play for another month in theatres throughout August to get to Labor Day. But that will only be certain ones then if some have already stopped screening the movie.

Get through the quiet August, have the last climax through Labor weekend and wrap it up with 2 more weeks of business before Blu ray comes out, *Alfred voice* I hope, it's not too late to make 410M+

*of course some theaters will keep playing but the b.o. Is pretty much done and dusted by then.

August looks like a wasteland this year. I can see The Hitman's Bodyguard doing well and some other films, but I don't see any breakout hit. The Dark Tower is being reviewed so badly that I don't see it surviving for very long.

That also means theaters will not have a lot of great options for Labor Day weekend. I could definitely see a WW expansion at that point for a final couple weeks of a run. I think theaters will want to top summer performer with incredible legs as a reliable draw to hold the walk up crowds.

I guess if I own a theater (I wish!), over LD I'd want to hold onto WW, Spidey, Dundirk, DM3, and Girl's Night?

Wonder Woman grossed an estimated $440K on Thursday. 63-Day total stands at $397.15M.

Good. If we take 5k away from that number, the drop becomes 5.8%. I was hoping for a slightly better drop but this is still very good.
