How do you predict Wonder Woman will be recieved by critics? Do you have hope in Jenkins/Johns/Gadot?

It won't get higher than 40%. Those behind-the-scenes troubles sound like more of the same. The DCEU is dead. Bury it.

My friend was b****ing about PC etc that WW is gonna be and the hype is a PC thing, he watched it last night.

He liked it.

This so called appeasement didn't help the likes of GitS, Elektra, Catwoman, Sucker Punch, Tomb Raider, Ultraviolet or any of the RE/UW movies from getting mediocre to horrible reviews!! Is it that hard to believe that Wonder Woman is actually a good movie?

I understand what you mean, but to be fair, when those movies were released, no one was whinging about a lack of diversity in movies/Hollywood, much less to the extent that they are today.

...or at least it wasn't as noticeable because we didn't have social media yet in a few of those cases.

If they were giving away Fresh Tomato just to be PC, then it wouldn't have a higher Average RT rating, which it has, that has direct correlation with movie's quality.

Really happy for WW Hope it can stay in the 90s. Although I love both MOS & BvS, It's nice to have a win with critics for once. It's definitely going to give WW legs

It's not "whin(g)ing." If you don't understand why marginalized people want to see themselves in fiction, especially the superhero genre, which is typically inspirational and uplifting, then... well, you haven't been paying attention at all.

If WW finishes in the 70's to 80's we should all be more than thrilled. I've already got some buddies who aren't the open minded Marvel type, but rather the fanboy type. They are kind of panicking at the prospect of a superbly reviewed DC movie. We should all hope for the genre as a whole to do well, and not pick teams so ardently but I digress

I agree that Wonder Woman most likely has earned it's good reviews, but to be fair, it is and the Ghostbusters was much more high profile than those other movies, which would have flown under the radar.

That is really sad, I hope they are just loud minorities.

If WW is hot, that will make people interested in Cap Marvel, and Disney will work harder to make sure it's great.

It's guaranteed to have a "certified fresh" now, and it's over 50 reviews and US critics have a good portion, so I suppose it's all done and dusted.

Maybe just looking at if it beats TDK amd Avengers on RT, then there will be wars

It's not guaranteed certified frash... there are 71 of the 350+ reviews left. I hope it get's it though... I said it needed a 85+ to keep DC afloat, so fingers crossed

Exactly, the movies like Huntsman Winter's War, Ghost In the Shell, Resident Evil, Underworld did not get any good ratings, so Political Correctness thing is not applicable here.

Even in the case of Ghostbusters, it's Average Top Critic Rating is lower than that on Wonder Woman.

2. paid to see it, not that bad actually. Scarlett is hnnngh.

3.I have a soft spot for Milla. Always. Paid to see it.

4.Underworld series jumped the shark long ago, still watched it. Super Sayian Beckinsale was cool.

GitS was gonna get torn apart anyways because of whitewashing thing, Winter War had Hemsworth as lead and Underworld and RE are part of the franchise that was never good to begin with so at this point I don't think anyone would say there is any female empowerment thing there, also they are part of horror genre and that has quite a lot of female leads....Ghostbusters I believe was really given a pass because of the whole girl power thing. The film is truly horrible and to this day when it comes to RT the score it has is the most unbelievable out of them all for me.

I believe some critics may be going soft on WW because of what it is but the scores are so high it's seems like genuine enthusiasm and not just 'I'm scared to lose readers if I say it sucks' kind of thing
