DC has a great history, and characters. But as for any fan, there have been times when they have been excited to buy a DC comic.Only to find out later that they were dissapointed with it,have you ever read a certain comic,or run only to find out that you wasted your time and money? This thread is to discuss those times.

Supergirl #10

Bruce Jones' Nightwing, Frank Miller's All-Star Batman and Robin: The Boy Wonder, and Supergirl.

Those are just plain bad.

I consider myself soooo fortunate for never having read Jones' Nightwing. :o

I read two issues of it. If you think that Supergirl and All-Star Batman and Robin were bad without reading Jones' Nightwing, you don't know the definition of bad.

Jones' Nightwing was waaay worse than those two books.

david laphams 'batman: city of crime' was one of the most abysmal comics i have ever read in my entire life. then theres all the chuck austen and mark verheiden crap. also, the current flash books come to mind.

With me, ASB&R is bad, but, let's say, I can read it without crying from the crappiness.

Supergirl, and Batman: City of Crime now that it's been mentioned, leaves me weeping like the end of Schindler's List.

Jeph Loeb's Return of Supergirl and that ****ty time-traveling arc in Superman/Batman. :down
All-Star Batman & Robin is pretty ****ty, too. :down

ASB&R is easily the worst, which is sooo weird. Lee and Miller seems like such an obvious home run.

Superman/Batman Annual...I actually wanted to throw it away afterwards but I didn't...cause I needed toilet paper.

I don't think I've ever read a bad DC book. I'm not saying they're all good, I just try to stay clear of the bad ones.

So tell me....just how bad is the new Nightwing series? I hear he's a fashion model now...

Nightwing's good again, Marv Wolfman is back. The male model thing was Jones and as far as I'm concerned (and it better be as far as everybody's concerned as well) that didn't happen.

Green Lantern (johns run), ASB&R and Superman Sacrifice. On the last one it wasnt REALLY bad it was just like, "uhhh why?", I dont know it was there for freakin the IC story i know but it was just so poorly written and drawn. IMO.

The last issue of Sacrifice (the WW issue) was really pivotal, actually.

But yeah, the Superman issues were pretty much utterly pointless. :o

Forgot the issue number, but the infinite crisis tie in Teen titan # where Nightwing gets his clothes rippoffed by Superboy. Just plain bad writing.

Most recently I've got to go with . . . Well, everyone else and say Nightwing OYL.

I also wasn't a fan of Zero Hour, either.

Immortal Beloved (Action Comics #761).

Superman spends 1,000 years in Valhalla fighting demons alongside Wonder Woman.

Ummm no. Id rather read Jones Nightwing anyday of the week over Supergirl and ASB&RTBW

Sacrifice was ****ing brilliant, shut your trap. :down

"Nightwing:This water. So cold. Freeeeezing!
Superboy:Well, instead of getting you a new costume, I think I'll strip you naked right here.
*ripp, ripp*"

You still think so?

Like CCon said it was really the last issue that was important to IC but other than that it wasnt really needed.
