Worst Movies of 2009

It's not wrong to hate it. I just get pissed when people act like the film was the worst thing ever put to celluloid and act as though the film murdered their father and raped their mother. It's just a bit much for me. Anyone who says they hate it that much was planning to never stop their *****ing even before they saw the damn thing.

Considering it's budget and the sheer number of crew working on it,it's definitely one of the worst movies i've seen.

I don't wanna pollute this thread with TF2,considering i have no ill feelings towards the movie,i just find it horrendous...kinda like some old Aunt, you don't hate her,you don't want bad things to happen to her,but if you never, ever saw/or heard anything about her again you won't mind one bit.

Agreed. I can understand not liking it. But worst movie of the year? I'm sorry and no offense, but that's crazy.

As Gene Siskel used to say, "I respect your opinion, but sometimes there comes a point where opinion can turn into being factually incorrect".

I'm just being honest here. Does something with as little plot (and yet so overplotted) need a bloated 150 minute length? Not to mention the stereotypes, the gaping plot holes, bad jokes, etc.. The reviews from CHUD and Latino Review sum up my feelings perfectly.

I love brainless action movies (Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the POTC sequels), but TF:ROTF was the pits. Bay should go back to film school, and be taught how to properly shoot an action sequence, as opposed to throwing shaky-cam closeups of CGI robots in an Avid blender and passing it off as exciting action sequences.

I'm serious. The only thing good about the movie was the sound design -- if the DVD has an isolated 5.1 sound effects mix I'll buy it.

I can even take that. But worst movie of two decades?! Worse than Batman and Robin?!

No, I'm sorry, but not at all.

It's funny you used that quote since Roger Ebert used it in his blog too recently...to explain that TF2 is indeed a horrible movie.

Plus it's the worst reviewed movie of the year, worse than all the others mentioned in this thread so ''factually'' doesn't work in this case...at all.

I never see a movie that's below 40-45% on RT unless i'm hyped for it or hear good stuff from someone with movie tastes i trust...from all the movies i've seen this year i've only disliked Wolverine and TF2 but if i had to choose Wolverine is a little bit better.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Land of the Lost

All of them were stinking piles of poo. Especially the second one -- yes, I've seen it and no, I'm not a film snob nor am I "out of touch." Honestly, it vies for Worst Movie of the Decade -- no, worst movie of the past two decades since Batman & Robin is Citizen Kane compared to this.
Okay, I respected your opinion until that last sentence. Anyone who thinks "Batman and Robin" is better than ROTF is talking out of their ass.

I haven't watched a whole lot of movies this year so I have to say Revenge Of The Fallen. Such great action and effects, but the rest was just bad. Sorry if that puts bitter butter on certain people's cookies, but them's the ropes :)

Year One, Wolverine, and Transformers 2.

I went into it hoping I would enjoy it as much if not more than the first one. I was waiting to defend this movie. Then I was sadly very very disappointed. :(

However, I can't say I hated it as much as the examples that you stated above lol, but I will say it was a terrible movie.

I didn't like Transformers 2 or Wolverine but I'm a fair person.

Out of the two, I would like to say that Transformers 2 is weaker of the two because at least Wolverine feels like..there's a narrative of some sort. Weak as it maybe, Wolverine doesn't lace itself with 'filler moments' where the movie goes no where CONSISTENLY like Transformers 2.

Transformers 2 should have been fun but it's so damn boring. The plot gets derailed every 5 minutes by comedic moments. I love comedy. I love humor. But you need a friggin' balance.

Let me tell you the plot of Transformers 2:

Gay dogs humping. Robots fighting. Mom gets high. Robots fighting. The End.

"Angels and Demons" gets my vote for worst movie of the year so far. I haven't seen too many films this summer, but that one was just awful. Way too long, and Tom Hanks didn't even try to act in this one.

Terminator Salvation
Crapformers: Revenge Of The Humping Baysplosions

**** you all. TF Rocked.

Only kiddin. Anyway, Wolverine is the only movie that really sucked to me. Terminator was just meh. And I avoided all the movies people called ****** aside from Transformers because I loved the hell outta it.

I loved the first Transformers and wanted to like TF2, but just ended up hating it. I don't even remember most of the movie because it was putting me to sleep.

hmm... maybe Year One from what I've seen. Public Enemies was the biggest dissapointment.

I'm saying that Batman and Robin is a better movie than Transformers. :o

Batman and Robin transcends a special level that makes it so bad that its a hilrarious movie. While Transformers was just a bad movie.

Now thats funny and I'll take that over humping dogs, robot balls, and minstrel show autobots anyday.

I haven't seen too many movies at the theaters this year. About 7 or so.

But so far the worst movie out of that 7, is Wolverine: Origins.

I've liked everything I've seen this year, but I don't get out to see a ton of movies.
