Would a 3.1 or Director's Cut DVD change your mind? (For those who disliked the film)

It seems like alot was cut and that there's some alternate stuff. So, lets says Sony releases a DVD that has a version of the film with more scenes and an alternate ending. Will that satisfy you or is there no redeeming qualities?

Most of the complain is that the film is too crammed. If they added 20 mins and turned it into a 3 hour movie would that make you happy?

well now we have to understand that there is a big difference in having a lot of stuf in hte movie that is not explained and a lot of stuff in the movie that is explained and makes the movie longer.

a lot of stuff didnt make sense in the movie because it was shortened down. the same mistake tha singer and WB made.

for exampel sandman and venom. both in hte movie jsut looked like they were thrown inside. there was no depth and there was no explanation. the funny part is that 90% people knew about venom that this will happen. a lot of us were just htinking that sandman is the main villain. but sandman was almost like venom.
so yes with the all scenes that were deleted of sandman and even venom would make more sense. it would make the characters better.

Thats true. Harry got more screentime than both Sandman and Venom. Then again...Harry stole the show. All his scenes were fantastic. Maybe Raimi decided to cut down on Sandman to give Harry the spotlight.

honestly, it would help the story, cause thats my MAIN issue.....the story is not executed effectively, i blame some on acting too(cant really re-shoot scenes so no luck there)....give us ur whole vision or repiece 'Richard Donner' style, i dunno.....but anything than this processed mistake we have today...

one of the reasons why sandman and venom were nto good neough was becuase of harry. i mean i know that he was there from the first movie and that they had to end this but come on. thisis a move. this is not a comic and this is not a cartoon where you can have 20 episodes. this is a 2 hour movie. you jsut dont have time to have again this goblin. harry should have been shortened down. who the f... cares about this amnesia happy kid anyway? more focus on sandman or venom. and voila it would been better.

the more time i think about this movie the more i just know that this was the studio who again destroyed a good movie. and of course the producers. i read the interview where arad and a chick tell raimi that he should have gwen and eddie. never force something.
to bad because i htink that spiderman 2 was a perfect spiderman movie. a perfect sequel. IMO.
and ince they were always saying that this is the last movie of them it should really end more positive not let things in hte air. people in the theater were all having a WTF face. shock.

agreed... dark_b.....he shouldve just let Harry play out his arc, cut Sandman for part 4(awesom moneyshots with that guy).....build up the Eddie Brock story, do the black spidey and do it right......have the Venom reveal at the end to setup part 4......so part 3 is just Harry story coming to a close, black spidey, eddie brock setup.....wouldve condensed this mess and save Sandman for a film that does him justice....

Harry stole the movie, dude. Even with extra venom and sandman I don't think they can top Harry. All of his scenes were brilliant! He was possibly the best character in the movie. Which shocked me since I didn't care much for him in the first two films.

Is it just me or does it look like Stan Lee's cameo was cropped? It sounded alot longer than what ended up in the film. Sounded like they had quite a conversation going on, with "And I said something else to him as I walked away" etcetera. which wasn't in the movie. Also, I thought he was gonna like give Dark Peter a lesson or two, what happened?

A Daredevil Director's cut type DVD of this movie would really help smoothen things out I'll tell you that much. And it ****ing better come out when they release this mess to DVD initially.

You really have to admire the way Jackson handled making of the Lords Of The Rings.He had a plan,he knew he would film all three movies back to back and than release them back to back.

Spider-Man 3 has so many what if's......that's it's ridiculous

For example:
Introduce the Sandman character briefly in Spider-Man one,what's the point of utilizing flashbacks in 3 when you should have just added that 3 second shooting of Uncle Ben,a look of Sandman's face and yippiee...but Sam Raimi kept on saying he wasn't going to do a Spider-Man 3.Cut your nose to spite your face comes into play with this one.Sony-Raimi wasn't thinking ahead or they would have already had the actor in mind to play the Sandman.

Enough with the crying,didn't Peter/MJ and Harry go through the "teenage" angst in the first one.All that crying should have been in Spider-Man one not three.

Spider-Man 3 should have been like X-Men 3...action..action..action
We know the characters...a little late to be dabbing into "character" development.

X-Men 3 should have dealt a little more with the characters and there was ALOT of them..darn mutants... than blowing up everything up that stood in there way.

sm 3.1 would definately tie up some of the wtf moments, give some exposition for things. Unfortunately, it won't totally fix the incredibly weak points in this movie.

A Director's Cut or 3.1 would make me like the movie more. Especially if they will throw in the Sandman family subplot. In the theatrical cut, Sandman just stops and asks for forgives. However scenes filmed with his family at the construction and Sandman threatening the doctor suggest that the whole family subplot was filmed, and this would make the movie a whole lot better.

Plus more of Venom would rule.

So yes, I believe that Extended Special Ultimate Extreme Supreme 3.1 Director's Cut would be a better movie than the theatrical cut.

Many people, myself included, enjoyed the dancing. So I don't want it cut and it won't get cut. One scene doesn't ruin an entire movie.

Its scenes like those that caused people To laugh at the scenes they weren’t supposed to later on in the movie

As a comic book fan hell yes a 3.1 or 3.5 whatever will help this movie allot
I can look past the corniness and cheesiness any day if I get more explanation and character development, for sandman\venom more added to the non-human side of the film

If they just add more to the jazz scene and stuff like that, then screw them This movie deserved to suk that would mean they never intended on having more scenes for venom\sandman and no explanation for the villains, and thus the movie would be worsened

I myself thought there was too much going on and an extended cut would help smooth things out if it included the marko family subplot.Also Eddie's descent into madness and depression would be good too.
