In particular, claims that Gough and Millar didn't respect the character or comics, that Marvel's Captain America was a much better modern adaptation of Superman than this Superman, that Clark should not be portrayed as so internally conflicted, that the depictions of him, Jonathan, Jor-El, maybe Martha were too iconoclastic and disrespectful to their predecessors? Or would there still be mostly acceptance of Clark having some angst and flaws when he is a teenager?
