Would you guys want to see a GR movie based on the original horse riding Ghost Rider?

It'd be cool if this film makes enough profit that we not only get a sequel but perhaps an all out western film like the original comic. The horse riding character in this film (caretaker). Looking at the pic of both of them riding together I think that would be cool. If not a movie maybe a HBO premium cable series. I'd 100% for sure watch it? MSJ would produce right? :) I'm there if they do it.

I'd think it'd be cool to have both GR's in all the films

I'd easily go see it. The character design is one of the best I've ever seen, and would love to see how his personality and past developes on the big screen pre-Ghost Rider.

I'd like to see it.

If the film did do well, why not? It'd be a great movie to see how some of it started.

An epic western tale? With the western Ghost Rider in it? Maybe with homages to original Carter Slade story? You've got me in!

Maybe after the Nic Cage franchise has run it's course they could go back to the prequels. After the prequels when Cage is older they could sign him again for some sequels for the next Ghost Rider. And Blaze would be a similar character to the caretaker. :)

^ I realize that but I didn't say instead of another Moto one. I mean in addition to down the road. Maybe after Cage has made 2 or 3.

Yes ... After GR ... but before GR 2.

Sam ****ing Elliot.

I will say it again.

Sam ****ing Elliot rules!

:ghost:

Well i'm torn. The idea of of a Western Ghost Rider doesn't particularly appeal to me because of the fact that the action itself would be mostly demons etc fighting ghost rider.

I mean if you look at the Nic Cage Ghost Rider , he's not only battling demons but also "us". I mean rides away from cops , cops chase him with coppers.
And also riding up a building busting up glass with a motorcycle better then western shoot outs.

That's what would suck IMO with a Western Ghost Rider. It would be the spirit of vengeance fighting a cowboy and/or demons. Demos fights look great but after a while it starts to wear of.

Now it would be completely different to have some elements of the Ghost Rider that Stephen Norrington wanted to use.
A ghost rider with a samurai sword. Now that would kick ass.
I know it would never happen but a Ghost Rider in feudal japan with demons fighting him as well as kick ass samurai battles .
It would be like Ninja Scroll :woot:

Yes. I'd love to see a prequel involving only the Western GR. It'd be great!

But ONLY if Sam Elliot does it! And MSJ...if he wants to.

Absolutely!!!
I always love the fact of GR´s Legend begins with a Western Hero, way back in 1949 ( arriving at Marvel in 1967 ).
I am crazy about Westerns and of course, i´d love to see a WGR movie or series, but it´s almost impossible to happen.
But anyway, MSJ have my eternal respect for bringing the old WGR to the Demon Cyclist´s movie.
GR4EVR!!!

I can't imagine Sam Elliot doing it except as a narrarator telling his story.

I said yes but, we must take into account that I'd probably say yes to anything related to Ghost Rider...

I'd definitely be interested, just from the basic idea of a spooky western superhero film. I dig that long coat and hat too. Makes a change from biker gear.

:hyper:

I think it could be cool. It might be better suited as a premium tv show on HBO or Showtime, etc...Imagine his flaming whip. The F/X would seem really cool set up against a back drop where he'd really stand out.

Yeah, a TV show would maybe be better. Deadwood's gone down a storm, so I guess westerns are in. Well, quality ones anyway.

:yay:

Weaterns are hawt. :o
So yes I'd be into seeing that come to life. :cwink:

Now that you've seen Sam Elliot's GR, would you still want to see a Movie based on HIS RIDER?

The Rider is just crying out a few spin-off "animated films" like with Hellboy.

Animated is the way to go, yeah. I'd love to see that.

Either animated or a prequal live action would be great, BUT it has to have Sam in it.

Quite honestly, I'm not interested enough in the character for him to have his very own movie. He served his purpose. I don't really care to see him fighting demons out in the old west.

Sam Elliott was awesome in the film, with his last scene he did make me wish the film was his story. I'd definitely watch a movie that was Sam Elliott Ghost-ing out in the Old West. Aside from that, I really hope Caretaker is brought back if a sequel happens, even if he did say he'd reached the "end of the trail".
