Wouldn't Neal McDonough be the ideal replacement to Bana?

Seeing as Marvel plans to reboot the Hulk as a movie franchise it looks like they'll be redoing everything, even the cast. And well, I just recently finished playing Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and when I earned the "Making Of" section of the game it revealed that Neal McDonough was the voice of Bruce Banner. Then it hit me, Mcdonough would be perfect for a movie Hulk as well. He's got that kindly manner reminiscent of Bixby, which would be perfect for Bruce Banner. A great example of him displaying this would have to be Minority Report as Jon Anderton's best friend. Plus he always seemed more like scientist type of character? I would also suggest Jeff Goldblum, but he's in his 50's and McDonough is a lot more youthful.

Some other things I would definitely like to see in another Hulk movie are the Abomination, Doctor Samson, Mercy, and Joe Fixit. I don't know how they would be able to do Joe Fixit reasonably though.

Not excatly sure where this conclusion is drawn from. I never heard anything about a reboot or recasting.

Yeah, they powers that be at Marvel decided to remake the best film adaptation of one of their characters yet because "it didn't feel enough like a comic book." (paraphrasing).
****ing lame. :down
As for Bana, he made a great Bruce Banner. Why replace him?

Yeah, that's the article I read before. But I didn't hear Avi cop to anything specific other than saying this second film will be truer to the comic. In fact, the author of that article says it could be taken either way. I feel at this point there might be recasting, but I doubt the first film will be cast aside.

I feel the same way Ben. This whole "diet-Hulk" "do-over" talk kinda scares me. I fear that they will go completely the opposite direction and make a brainless pop-corn filck out of some knee-jerk reaction. Sure the original had a few problems...but if they do that, I guarantee that we will all be begging for Ang to return by the time all is said and done.

This will be seriously interesting to watch how it all goes down.

I have no doubt that this will be a Pop Corn Action Flick. But if this Movie makes Money & is alot more liked the fans that dont like it wont mean anything to the Studio

Bana should stay.

For some reason I could ALMOST see him as a Matt Murdock...

ALMOST

ALMOST

Sure as hell has the jaw.

EDIT: damn iMDB and their no hotlinking.

this is a very stupid thing to do if Marvel actually goes through with their plan, Avi has been talking abot a sequel for so long then says this ... i dont think he means a restart, more a change of tone and style for the next film.

I´m well and trully hoping that Avi only means that the movie will be more action, less drama.

The first movie was great and they should try and retain the good elements of it, that is, keep the movies intelligent and realistic (as much as a big green guy throwing tanks around can be realistic :) ).

I see a lot of people saying to "keep Bana, he was great". The idea of the thread is basically, if they were to replace Bana for the next Hulk, would McDonough be an ideal choice, if not who?
