So with Omega gone from NJPW is it WWE or AEW?
Honestly he’s going to WWE
I think he's going to AEW.
We shall see. But if he’s going to AEW couldn’t he wrestle for NJPW still?
If they form a working arrangement they do. Cody has said he wants to work G1.
Between him and Kushida, I think Kushida is most likely to go to the WWE than Omega.
The dreamer in me would love Kenny to go to AEW and build something special with Cody and The Young Bucks. Perhaps the time is right for something new to be born as an alternative to WWE. Not that NJPW or ROH isn't already, but AEW could have pulling power to entice some WWE guys to their roster. Cody, Kenny, TYB, maybe CM Punk too? Punk could be instrumental to AEW. He's always been an advocate for change in WWE and couldn't do it, so perhaps AEW might reignite his passion for wrestling and he can help build it with the others.
There's no reason why AEW, NJPW, and ROH can't cross over either. Perhaps bring Jericho and his cruises in to the mix too. There's scope to form an 'alliance' here with the result being something very special.
Im really not sure where Omega goes.
WWE seems the most likely step, but i think in AEW he could archive more...if the promotion can start strong.
The WWE is merely a smoke screen at this point, you cant archive true greatness and use your potential to the extend it would be possible.
The titles dont mean as much, Milestones like main eventing WM or winning the Rumble...all stuff they throw away for 15 minutes of cheap pop or heat.
Even those dream matches people talk about stay behind expectations, look at daniel bryan vs styles or nakamura vs styles.
It all has no real depth anymore, just toys for cheap entertainment.
In NXT he probably could show his true talent, but i think at this point Omega is above what NXT could offer.
He is larger than NXT imo...i dont know why i feel that way.
Im really unsure about this, i could see Omega be the guy who changes the WWE but i also can see him become just one of the guys that are held back.
Personally i would book omegas first year in the wwe with him as the guy who debuts at the rumble, wins and goes against lesnar, beating him for the title and lead Raw which really then changes for the better.
But i dont know, im very conflicted on the topic of Omega.
In other news, Kushida leaving NJPW is a real shock.
You never expected him to go, but it makes sense for him to see if he can reach new hights.
He would fit 205 well, but lets see where he goes.
It will be hard for NJPW to cope with the losses.
The Elite gone, Omega, Kushida gone...they will leave a big hole.
For their sake the rumors of Naito and Okada leaving better just be that.
That's not happening according to Dave Meltzer.
I still think Kenny Omega is headed to All Elite Wrestling.
"The instant that the Royal Rumble was over, Heyman went straight to WWE Creative, though the time was now nearly twenty-three hours. The entire staff of WWE had done likewise. The orders already issuing from the telescreens, recalling them to their posts, were hardly necessary. Roman Reigns was The Guy: Roman Reigns had always been The Guy. A large part of wrestling history of 28 years was now completely obsolete."
Apparently the WWE has offered him a ton. We will see.
This is sad, but as long as NJPW as Okada and Naito, they should be fine. But if they lose one or both of them...
Naito said he turned down WWE about a month ago.
Even more, rumor has it he met with a few wwe officials for dinner and left through the backdoor, leaving them with the bill.
i so wanna believe that is true, it would be so a Naito thing to do.
But yeah, Naito doesnt strike me as the guy who wants to leave japan or at least NJPW.
That was funny when he did that.
While Okada said that his dream match is against Dwayne Johnson, he's not leaving either.
Hard to say, its been rumored that people arent too happy with the new NJPW officials and that it feels more like work now than ever before.
I cant see Okada go, NJPW put their trust in him and because of their support he became the Rainmaker and one of the best in the business.
With the support of NJPW he gone from a TNA jobber to one of the greatest IWGP champions.
But who knows, if he cant see himself grow and if he isnt happy with NJPW then i could see him leave...but its hard to say.
Currently a lot is going on in the wrestling world and everything is possible.
If Okada leaves, it should be for All Elite Wrestling.
And his dream match with the Rock is never happening
Cool, Dave Bautista's playing Beast Rabban in Dune (basically the hoss enforcer of the bad guys).
That may take him out of WrestleMania 35, not that he needs it.
finally caved and got the wwe network
Wow, AEW has Jericho now? Shots fired, a huge get for them.
This was going to happen the moment WWE said no to the Cruise of Jericho.
