The Dark Knight WSS Game: London

According to his site,www.ravensofend.com, RavensEnd was able to get a release from WB. If you still need it you could get the number from him.

The festival has a contact at WB that they've e-mailed and hasn't replied, so hopefully it should be alright.

But given that it's not been taken down from youtube yet, I doubt there'd be much of a problem. I recorded my one during our test screening this morning, and will stick it online after the final screening on Saturday (I think it's only fair to let them show it first, given the huge favour they're doing me).

Just wondering

Is anyone going up to Collectormania in Milton Keynes over the weekend?

There is no one I wanted to see there but I was gonna see if they have any TDK merchandise on offer. Dont know exactly when its all getting released over here

I'll make the page public so it can be found in searches.

I'm just a tad confused as to where the movies at Sci Fi London are playing (impossible to book online as the system cant find the film), is it at the Appollo in the westend? If so, do you know how much the tickets normally cost?

I'm probs gonna go see it on sat 1h30 n then go to gamecamp. (OMG geek alert)

Guys,

I've done it. We ran a test screening of the print this morning, and our lovely friends at Sci-Fi London have agreed to screen the Jokerized trailer at three of their screenings!

(I did see what I could do about getting it screened on it's own, but it doesn't seem like there's time in their schedule)

The first one is their opening night film, which started 30 minutes ago. No tickets were left, so that was unlikely anyway. If any of you went, I hope you enjoyed the surprise.

The other two showings will be before features on Saturday. The first one being the 1:30pm screening of Netherbeast Incorporated, and the other being the 8:45pm showing of Wasting Away.

If WB has any issues about this, they need to contact me NOW.

Otherwise, hopefully I'll see you there.

I know a friend who's going, but it's a bit too much of a mission to get there from Winchester.

Have a good time though and let us know if it's any good :yay:

That's the one!

I think tickets for the afternoon one are £8, and the evening screening is £10. It's a bit of a bugger that it's that expensive, but it was the only way I could get it shown anywhere...

LOL

That is a bit of a distance

I am going Saturday so I will post up any information, I am not holding my breath for anything amazing though :joker:

GameCamp!

Woo!

Reminds me of those E3 days back in London.

If you've got a ticket to GameCamp, you should really try to make it there when it starts (11:00). You don't want to miss half the sessions! I'm still trying to decide what to hold my session on; thinking of talking about ARGs :yay:

GameCamp!

Woo!

Reminds me of those E3 days back in London.

It's not really that type of event. The idea is based on BarCamp, which has quite a history:

A couple of years ago O'Reilly (the publishers) organized an event in the US called FooCamp. It was described as a 'wiki of conference' where the program/session schedule was created by the attendees on the spot. The only problem was that it was invite-only: so it became a very elite type of event. Some of the people that weren't invited started an alternative event: BarCamp. (get it? FooCamp and BarCamp -> foobar :woot:)

The format is basically the same as with FooCamp. It's a user-generated, free (tech) conference. Typically it's a two day event with most of the attendees staying overnight at the location, hacking or playing games through the night. The unspoken rule is that everybody that attends has to contribute in some way; most of the time this means everybody has to hold a session. The great thing is that because you have so many different people you get a fantastic mix of sessions. The one moment you could be talking to a fellow student, the next you could be talking to a CEO of some company. The problem BarCamps now have though, is that they're so popular the tickets go very fast and it kind of falls back on the same problem FooCamp had: not everyone that wants to come can come (here though it practicality issues, while with FC it was pure elitism).

So far I've been to 4 BarCamps (BCBrighton1, BCBrighton2, BCLondon3, BCBerlin2) and if you're in the IT industry, it's one event you should try to get into. The BarCamp London 3 was especially cool, cause that was held at the Google offices. They even had a chocolate fountain!

So in the past year there have been several spin-offs of BarCamp, including MediaCamp and GameCamp. I don't think the organisers of GameCamp realized the amount of people wanting to come; the tickets were gone within the hour (I got a early Girl Geek ticket :yay:). I've heard from one of the organisers there are only 50 session slots with 120 people showing up, but I still am hoping to hold my own session. Btw, there are a lot of people from major game companies coming, including the creators behind the We Tell Stories ARG. I'm so looking forward to meeting all those people!

Yo guys, where is the facebook group for the SHH viewing of the movie when it drops July 25?

I can't make it to the afternoon one on Saturday (going to GameCamp), but I might be able to make it to the evening screening. I'll get to see the trailer anyway! :woot:

See you at Gamecamp! Do you have an idea for your 30 mins? Unfortunately work commitments mean I have no time to prep anything...

If I went I'd talk about a new concept of a game I'm writing.

Do these things happen every year? It sounds interesting, As this one is more than likely full... I might try and go to the next one!

Is anybody planning on coming to the 1:30pm showing tomorrow? I got given two comp tickets, and it looks like I'm going to end up being there on my own.

In other words, first person to reply saying they want to go gets a free ticket.

If I wasn't seeing "Doomsday" in London then I most definately would.

Sorry mate. :(

cheers!

There will be 45 session slots and 120 people coming, so it's going to be impossible for every person to hold a session. In the case, there is an empty slot I thought of holding a "discussion"/"show-and-tell (without the show)" round on experiences with ARGs. Or I could explain the rules of the semi-Russian card game Doerak (=Loser). :yay:

Am psyched for tomorrow! And tonight I'm going to Iron Man at Odeon Leicester Square :woot:

Btw, if anybody else is going to Iron Man, I'm meeting up with some others at 7 in the Horse&Coaches in Greek Street. Pm me if you're interested.
