I realize this thread&topic may not be well received and that people outside the wrestling thread just won't care for it But I think it deserves a game thread and well maybe some people might be interested a bit!

Article with some details:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/05/29/igns-exclusive-debut-of-wwe-13

Info via twitter that I've gathered:
-WWE '13 will not be at E3

-WWE'13 will be unveiled at Summerslam in August

-OMG moments can happen in any mode But it depends on match types/wrestlers&situations

-Can't play storymode as anybody else except 8 Attitude wrestlers

-Mark Henry has his Hall of Pain Shirt in his entrance,Camera is behind him like in real life

-Finisher catching required a bit of coordination,Currently there's no mid-air Codebreaker,Punk/ Undertaker and Mark Henry has"OMG" Catching Finishers so far though

-OMG Moments are technically called "Spectacular Moments"

-We can climb up on announce&regular tables again and do moves on it

-Only difference in the pin system is that the move done prior to getting a pin attempt plays a factor,A Tombstone has more impact than a body slam,You can't just do a scoop slam and get an easy pin

-New audio is still in development

-Some OMG moments are wrestler types specific But everyone has access to something else in OMG moments

-Breaking through the Hell in a Cell roof, and throwing opponents off the HIAC roof are both OMG moments ,overhauled for WWE'13

-Match experience settings are in standard settings,Just like you'd use to select an arena or the # of finishers at the start of a match

-Online servers are the same types from WWE'12,Leading to a better experience cause they(THQ) underestimated what was needed before

-OMG signs are"a little cartoony. Not... awful, but they definitely stand out. Game is Alpha - could easily change

-You can't fight in the crowd after breaking the barricade,It's more located to that holding area near the announce table.

-The time period for Attitude Era Mode has not been defined just yet,This is WWE's side of that era. Not WCW

-Graphics&game is still in"Alpha"

-Weight detection deals mostly with realistic move execution,Rey isn't going to bodyslam Show..He'll do a different move

-Besides Raw is War there are other Attitude arenas

-The core gameplay is similar to WWE'12

-Attitude Era mode seems like a huge step-up compared to RTWM

-Punk's intro is far more faithful to what he does now

-Attitude Mode is still being worked on

-Sean Waltman/X Pac tweeted"I have a major announcement. Breaking. News. I'm going to be in WWE 13 as xpac. "

-Punk's cobra commander&pepsi logos tattoos in the game are"look-a-likes"

I hope we can edit attires this year like we were able to back in Raw 2 for Xbox.

I might be more excited if these games didn't look like complete dog****.

Corey Ledesma the WWE games creative director from THQ tweeted last month or so that that WWE finally gave them the OK to do a feature than everybody has wanted for years..That's a nice tease!

I knew you would be the first person to be negative,Oh and this game is still in alpha,Plus I personally prefer gameplay over graphics,I guess you'd never enjoy the Fire Pro Wrestling games!!!!

I wasn't talking about the graphics (though the visuals don't look great either).

And you would be 100% wrong about my opinion of Fire Pro Wrestling and your insinuation that I care more about graphics than gameplay.

Not sure about current looking Rock But attitude era Rock is most likely!

I really liked WWE'12, I hope this new one fixes some minor hiccups here and there. I really hope they fix that awful server issue that made it damn near impossible for me to download anyone online.

WWE 12 sucked because when you played as a created wrestler you could not do the road to wrestlemania feature. You had to do the universe thing and skip everything until your named appeared.

I hope the Attitude Era story isn't the only story mode.

I want a full blown career/story mode where I can take my CAW through the ranks of the WWE.

Universe Mode alone won't cut it.

I play these game primarily to use my CAWs, not to use the real stars. I miss the story/career modes of prior wrestling games.

I'd love a story mode where your CAW's a rookie who has to start out in FCW or NXT, then house shows, then making the roster on Raw/Smackdown, eventually getting spots on PPVs, culminating with headlining Wrestlemania.

I completely agree with this post.

Sure you can,One of the stories in RTWM is having to play as a created guy!!

Somebody from another site found this article,10 reasons to be excited for WWE'13..
1. “WWE LIVE” – Yes! Yes! Yes! It’s All About In-Game Interaction

WWE LIVE promises us a significant authenticity of the WWE live event by the form of audio responses, according to THQ. My guessing is that this improvement will act as a companion for the Predator Technology. Think of it like the audio version of Predator Technology.

Marrying those two elements together will add dynamic responses and transitions within the game; like crowd participation, commentary, and sound effects.

Which means:

We can expect to hear John Cena get cheered and booed by the crowd at the same time and “Let’s go, Cena! CENA SUCKS!” chants instead of total cheering. This will be based on superstars gimmicks and actual current reactions from the crowd meaning we can expect to hear multiple “YES!” chants after every major move that Daniel Bryan performs.

Remember ‘WWF SmackDown! – Just Bring It’? For me it has the most responsive and dynamic commentary of all WWE games to date. Err… almost too dynamic (and over-enthusiastic). We will talk more about this later but hey it looks like WWE 13 is back on the right track with improvements. Hopefully.

2. Attitude Era Campaign Mode – Because Stone Cold Said So

Ohhhhh give me a hell yeah!
The best ever time in wrestling is about to make a comeback with THQ proclaiming ‘The Attitude era is back.’ Gamers will now be able to re-create history whilst battling through a single player campaign where fans can take control of their favourite superstars from yesteryear in an eight part storyline set during the classic ‘Monday Night Wars’ era.
Imagine playing as Stone Cold Steve Austin in a famous re-creation of the Austin vs Mc.Mahon feud, or as The Undertaker throwing Mankind from the top of the Hell in a Cell to the announcers table, all in HD goodness & actual commentaries… “Good God Almighty, They’ve Killed Him!”. The trailer also promises a reunion of D-Generation X!
Fans can look forward to a game with modern day graphics and gameplay but with the superstars from our favourite era. Isn’t that worth the price of admission alone?

3. Predator Technology 2.0 – More Destructive Than Ever

Guys, have you seen the trailer? Did you see the ring collapse from the sheer force of Big Show and Mark Henry landing from the top rope?? That is just a part of the visual candy that the new Predator Technology can deliver. More and more graphical realism and interaction is expected from the next installment and let’s hope they have evolved to a position where anything that is seen in the game can be used as a weapon or for leverage, even if you have to dive into the audience or use Lilian Garcia as a shield.

4. Create & Share Your WWE Universe

THQ have promised further improvements to the way we share our created Superstars, finishing moves, storylines, entrances and other customised elements of the game. Although little is known just yet about what they specifically are planning, let’s hope it involves more Created Superstar slots so we can all share our newly created jobbers!

5. The Roster

WWE 13 boasts the biggest roster in the franchise to date with 77 playable characters – 38 Superstars, 7 Divas and 32 Attitude Era Legends. Not to mention those likely to be added later and DLC content.
Is this the greatest roster a WWE game has ever had? We’d say so..

6. More Intuitive Commentary – Jim Ross Returns!

This year’s edition of WWE 13 is rumoured to feature Jim Ross & Jerry “The King” Lawler for the “Attitude Era” mode, Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler for the RAW show and Justin Roberts, Booker T and Michael Cole for the SmackDown show. A major overhaul is expected in the commentary which we are hearing will not carry over as many lines from the last title as is the norm.
Commentary on WWE 13 got repetitive very fast and the game struggled to follow a rhythm or fluidity in this presentation. THQ have listened to our criticisms and hopefully they will invest some time and effort into building a more natural and pleasant sounding commentary experience. Though if nothing else, we will be able to re-live some of the best moments from the attitude era with Jim Ross’ immortal lines to be heard again.

7. John Laurinaitis Is A Playable Character

People power is coming to WWE 13!

8. WWE Universe 3.0

A newly upgraded WWE Universe 3.0 will return in WWE 13, promising us more creative options than ever before. Once again we will be able to have creative control over schedules, television shows and rosters… forming alliances and making enemies across the way.
The WWE Universe mode wasn’t perfect in the last game and it drew some loud criticism from the fan base but let’s hope they have listened for the improvements we want.

9. Chris Jericho!

Criminally not included in WWE 12, Chris Jericho is actually a playable character!

10. The Trailer Promises Best Wrestling Game Ever

Sometimes images can mean a thousand words.
There you have it… 10 reasons why you should be excited about the next WWE game. Do you have any reasons that you think you need to say and discuss?

the trailer looks great :D glad punk is on the cover aswell, about time it was someone other than orton or cena

It sucks that The Hardyz and Dudley Boyz probably won't be in this game.

I wonder if we'll get non-Attitude Era wrestlers too, like Ricky Steamboat, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Andre The Giant?

There's been rumors for months that DDP will make it in or at least as DLC and that Kevin Nash&Booker T may return in the game!

Other news I've found is..
-OMG moments in WWE'13 are also known as environmental finishers,Examples are:Superplex to outside of the ring/Crowd barricade spear/Ring Collapse K and announcer table finishers

-Replays occur mid-match,are full screen, pause the current action and it shows the move from multiple angles

-Ref's now slide in on the action to make counts/etc

-Catching finishers can catch opponents jumping off turnbuckles or springboard,Codebreaker/Chokeslam/GTS&WSS confirmed so far

-You need 3 finishers to do ring collapse KO

-For ring collapsing KO's the superstar performing stands for the win

-All barricade types are breakable

I am only interested in this series when Im watching WWE and after years of not viewing Im slowly starting to get back into this so this is on my radar. I know a few years back they changed the gameplay mechanics so that moves were done with the analog sticks and I hated that. Is it still like that and if so will there be an option for the classic controls?

I read that this will have an Attitude Era mode and that further peaked my interest bc the late 90s were when I was on a WWF high. Looking forward to seeing Team Xtreme, The Rock, Austin, Trish Stratus, and the rest in this

Ya know, i find it funny that the ONLY reason i bought last years game was because the Rock was heavily advertised as a playable character. Its been a decade since the last time i watched the WWF or whatever it is now. It seems like this is the game i wanted last years title to be. With all the classic people and what not. Might have to pick this up.

Me too. I was most into wrestling when I was in high school which was the attitude era. The late 90s/early 00s was golden for me so seeing it represented in this game makes me really interested in it

Sad not seeing the Hardy Boyz in this. They are a glaring ommision. Oh and Kurt Angle

Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle are both in rival promotion TNA.So it is understandable that hey are omitted.
