Transformers www.transformersgame.com

Doesn't sound too bad so far. Looking forward to some actual gameplay footage.

From TFW, not much new:

- a Video trailer of the upcoming video game was shown, and then one of the guys played the demo version for us to watch. It looks fantastic!
- Game is done in a GTA like style. Large environments, 100% destructible, can transform limitless times
- Available on all platforms: Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PS2, PSP, and 2 versions on DS
- DS will offer cooperative play, or competitive play over wireless connetion
- PSP will offer up to 4 player play
- Consoles are single-player
- beautiful graphics
- They are going to work in as many G1 unlockable content as they possibly can
- Working with Flint Dille for the G1 content, even got the models from Dreamworks!
- The Marvel Ultimate Alliance team is working on the CGI cutscenes
- When asked about VAs, told they couldnt' comment, but that we could speculate that the movie VAs would reprise their roles in the game
- Can play as ALL Movie characters and even non-movie characters that are movie-based
- Hasbro is working with them to try to make toys of these non-movie but movie-based characters!
- All Tranformers in the game will have individual melee and weapons attacks
- Can choose to be Autobots OR Decepticons, and the side you choose determines the game's endings.

Transformers Grand Thieft Auto style, sweeeeeeet. I might have to take a look at it now.

I officially can't wait for this game! GTA: Transformers, sweet!

GTA Transformers style game? Ok....you got my attention.

can you imagine flying over a city as Megatron or Starscream. Damn im so psyched for this game now!

I'm more excited for the game then I am for the Movie.

100% destructible has really got me thinking. But...if you choose to be with the Autobots, why would you destroy things? Well...I wonder...even thought they said would be like GTA. Does that mean it's a free roam?

I'm not even a die hard Transforms fan, but the description of the game definitely gave me a fangasm.

AWESOME!!!

The only thing missing is a bit of Burnout thrown into the mix. I 'dlove to transform into vehicle mode and have a head-to-head race with some of the Decepticons.

I would love the idea of using Starscream to fly through cities, transform in mid flight and crash though buildings while blasting the s**t out of stuff.

I wasn't really all that excited about the thought of playing Starscream, simply because he's an abomination. But on 2nd thought, if you can really transform mid flight and tackle Autobots into buildings, I could probably excuse his s****y design.

But what gets my hope up the most is this little part.

I really hope we'll get some playable G1 characters. This would make this game perfect.

Maybe some cameo's from other TF not seen in the movie.

From Seibertron.com. Also not a lot of new stuff, practically the same but a little more detail. I'll mark the stuff that's new.

- Game will be available on: Wii, XBox 360, PS3, and PS2.
- There will be an Autobot Game and a Decepticon Game for Nintendo DS, supporting 4 way multi-play.
- PSP gets a version of the game (maybe different from all), but with 4 way Multi-Play.
- Wii will get special Wiimote functions, such as throwing things, steering, etc.
- You can play as 9 Autobots and Decepticons. Unplayable characters are going to be boss characters or other important charcters.
- There will be unlockable characters and possibly movie characters that don't appear in the movie (like Wreckage).
- There will be G1 references in the game.
- It has a full interactive environment where you can pick things up and throw it at the enemy...including a Burger King sign.
- Burger King and Pepsi references were in the game, so we know they are sponsors.
- As the robot you can punch, shoot, jump, transform at will and drive/fly around when you are in vehicle mode.
- Autotargeting will be available.
- For game play, it reminded me of Grand Theft Auto, where you can run around the city (perspective was similar to GTA). The steering of the vehicle looked well done, where you could oversteer around turns, etc. If you caused too much ruckus the police would come and the pedestrians would go around screaming, especially if you were in Robot Mode (so being in disguise is important). Pedestrian interaction was not completed yet, but we were hoping you could pick up people and thrown them...jthat was ust our suggestion. The ability to use both modes via transforming was very effective because you could get away quick if you were getting beat bad.
- Graphics were very good and very fluid, even on preproduction. Audio track we heard was a generic one for pre-production, but final game will have the movie score. Possibly the voices will be the same as in the movie. Cut scenses are being rendered by a company called Blur (how ironic) that won many awards for game CGI.
- Storyline is different based upon if you are an Autobot or a Decepticon, humans are part of the story, but not part of the game play. Because of the dual roles the Decepticons can win in this one.

so who other Autobots and Decepticons do you guys want to see? I doubt we'd be able to but id love to play as Hotrod/Rodimus Prime in the game.

Me too. So I can crash him into a wall repeatedly.

Probably stick to more well known G1's like Prowl, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack etc.

Wonder if we'll see Ultra Magnus or maybe one of the dinobots?

Dinobots and Soundwave are essential :)

It'd be kinda neat to blast the city as Shockwave too.

Quoted for truth.

Even if there are no new G1 characters, they should make G1 skins available to unlock for all the playable characters. This way you could play the story as the G1 transformers.

^ yeah Kotaku is a great site.

So when is the game coming out.
