Wow what an iconic start for an iconic movie franchise, for an iconic comic book ip.

It’s kind of a shame that Hasbro doesn’t seem hugely interested in doing any pre-MCU stuff in the Legends line (although that new Spider-Man 3 black suit figure might indicate a shift in that regard) because I’d love to see some of this franchise’s take on the X-characters get new figures.

Namely Cumming’s Nightcrawler.

I think the first X-Men movie had a bunch of action figures but I don't remember X2 having a big line, or any of the others.

Kind of unfathomable, really. Both that it’s been that long and the fact that Jackman and Stewart have been semi-regularly playing their roles for a whole quarter century.

It’s a shame that Singer is such a trash bag, bc I would love some sort of a retrospective.

I remember my first issue with Wizard magazine that included a glimpse at the magneto helmet. Such a good time.

I don't think I've seen this film in 5 years? Its definitely overdue for a rewatch.

25 years!

Saw it opening weekend with my best friend. We literally spent most of the 90's dreaming and fancasting what an X-Men movie could look like. When the movie started, we couldn't believe it was real and we were finally going to see it.

Regardless of it's limited scope and budget constraints it still holds up. It's importance in the genre should never be understated. It was the first critically acclaimed Marvel blockbuster.

Can't wait to see them all again next year!
