the trailers could of been better no XMA trailer touches the final dofp trailer

Not even the 2nd DOFP trailer.... and DOFP's trailer didn't have to rely on flashy costumes and visual effects.

I actually preferred DOFP's second trailer over the third.

The second DoFP trailer was very good, but the third trailer was just pitch perfect marketing wise. It had the right mix of dread, humor, action, character beats etc. and it was far closer to the actual tone of the movie then the second trailer.

The second trailer, while good, was a bit dark and gloomy and couldn't have been a particularly fun one to market around.

16 million view for the final trailer. Not bad at all

Its still trending on YouTube!

$ucce$$!

I guess its not so bad that they released the final trailer a bit late.

and watching some new tv spots and the new featurette they could of littered the final trailer with better shots

$230M Domestic
$780M World Wide.

It's going up against the backend of what will be a very strong month for Captain America: Civil War, opening the same day as Alice: Through the Looking Glass and a week before Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Out of the Shadow. If it reaches the above, that's something to be proud of.

I'm just hoping the numbers are as strong or stronger than that of DOFP, even if only by a bit.

If it manages to make the same amount as BvS it would be a great moment for this franchise.

I just rewatched both. The tension never lets up in trailer 2, imo. The music change at 1:55 when Erik (on the plane) says "We've been given a second chance." :drl:

Trailer 3 was masking the film as a team up movie (a victim of Avengers' success?).

The music "ruined" that 3rd trailer for me. That song, IMO, has been tainted by Emmerich's Godzilla.

Plus that stinger scene for the final trailer was not very good, never mind Hoult's bad reaction/acting to "In the future, do I make it?"

DOFP Trailer 2 was my favorite X-men trailer only bested by Ottman's SD ComiCon trailer for X2.

I love the X2 trailers. Still my favorites. Good mix of everything and gets much more tense with a sense of wonder and movie magic then the newer trilogy. Stronger music choices as well.

Think my favorite music choice in all the X-Men film trailers is "You have the power" from the Dark City soundtrack. Love that score.

I wish they released the SDCC teaser for DOFP with 'Time' from Inception. There's some fanmade versions of it on YT since the footage was mostly the same as the first DOFP trailer, but it seems really good. I bet it would've been amazing to see in person in Hall H, with Patrick Stewart's Professor X asking us nearly a decade since the last X-Men, "What's the last thing you remember?"

If Taylor Siwft is Dazzler, will we expect a song from her as one of the movie's soundtrack?

I hope the movie can reach $500 million dollars in the USA alone.

It's not making $500 million in the USA. That is absurdly ridiculous. And no amount of fanboyisn will propel it to that number.

love it!

Would they really include a 21st century commercial song in a film set in 1983? My God!

Though I would sing along if its Bad Blood, You Belong with Me, Blank Space or 22.

I'm an X-men fanboy so... Just don't take it seriously. :)

500 million domestic? LOL. Best to see if it crosses that hurdle globally.
