Gotta admit it would be awesome to see Nate Grey. But I doubt it will happen soon as we have yet to be introduced to Cable.

Man, been really satisfied with all of Fox's announcements. At this point my only concern is that given Singers words that he had a crossover in mind and Kinberg working on all Fox MArvel flicks is that FF would somehow be in X-Men Apocalypse which I just have no interest in seeing. Hope thats not the case. But other then that worry, this is all very exciting for X-Men.

Great to see we're finally getting Apocalypse - and hopefully Sinister alongside him. The 90s animated series is still the definitive portrayal of these two so I hope the movies do them justice.

yeah, right now Fantastic Four are not needed. later maybe, but NO for Apocalypse big debut.

Now its time for Cyclops, Angel and Gambit return and give then badass roles finally. along with Rogue, of course.

This is the movie most fans have been waiting for all these years, and these X-Men deserve their moment to shine finally and for real.

    Agreed.

Most of us all agree X-Men is big enough for their own world and suffer from a lack of certain character development. Throwing in non Xverse characters in fighting their main baddie would be a bad call.

I thought that, but they are developing it from now so some of work will already be done by the time DOFP hits. Then Singer can go straight into working on Apocalypse.

I would have preferred 3 years personally.

^Same here, but Singer has worked under these constraints before and gave us X1 and X2, the latter of which still hasnt been topped in this franchise so far for me.

Honestly, I feel that this isn't going to be AOA because then the Fantastic Four would be introduced in a dystopian world run by Apocalypse and that's too much backstory needed for a team that isn't even going to defeat him.

The storyline this time around is probably going to be a mix and match of Fall of the Mutants, Endgame, X-Cutioner's Song, The Twelve and Apocalypse Solution. Keep in mind that those events are all kind of big and really essential to the X-Men universe.

I'm confident he'll pull it off. I'd prefer a three year gap to allow for more build up and for all four lead-ins to happen before 2016.

I sometimes worry about actors who get burned out on having to do the same character every two years and get out of their contract. I hate re-casts as it doesn't feel like a "true" sequel to me. I would have wanted a 3 year wait.

I think that it's quite likely that Singer has been working on this idea for awhile anyway. I also think that the possibility that DOFP ties into this are also very high. I vote for Keith David to play Apocalypse.

Yeah, but in three years, Fox would have to recast Famke at the least and possibly also Hugh, Halle and Marsden as well.

Any concerns the general audience will see Apocalypse and think he's just another Thanos?

I saw this and screamed in excitement. I hope nobody woke up dye to my screaming its 3:34 in Germany.
BTT: I am really happy, Fox is going to have a ling term plan for the xmen.
2 years between two big movies is a good choice in my opinion, imo it'll help xmen: apocalypse at the box office ( given DOFP is a success).

Cable has always been one of my favorite comic book characters. We knew this was coming so I am happy to see it.

It will be in the 80's I think the original story was inspired by the techno-thrillers like terminator.

with this and justice league on the horizon it seem like there will be fewer and fewer classic stories left for the big screen.

That's an impressive wall of text and all but you aren't going to convince me I don't like the character that I like. Sorry to disappoint.

He would be a great choice. Although, I have thought for a long time that, if they stuck to the comic book story, Keith David would be awesome as older Bishop who is stuck back in AoA. I always loved that version of Bishop.
