I hope not. There's way too much drama and people needlessly freaking out over minute details about DC/Marvel announcements, it's exhausting how worked up people get. I like the fact that all I need to be concerned about is Apocalypse - Wolverine 2 - Deadpool at the moment and that Fox is thinking more about the next 2 or 3 years as opposed to the next 10.

It would be interesting if they came out and said "X-Force 2018", "X-Men Sinister 2019", "X-men in space leading to the phoenix saga with Shiar and then starjammers 2021". I mean I would die if the last one came true haha

I think it is a good thing really, only because I think they actually have planned it, rather than What Sony did where they seemingly retaliated and announced all those films that once again may not be being made. FOX is at least in a position where they can draw up some excitment by doing what DC and Marvel have done

Fox plays that game to. Fox has and will grab their dates even with unannounced projects. They need to lay down some territory just as other studios do.

IMO, they have some date in mind but they will annonce when the time is right .

Fox grabbed their dates in advance and still have an unannounced one in 2018.

F4 has not even been out and they gave it a sequel. They need to grab those dates before they get locked down. Just the way it is.

I personally don't see it as a contest between Marvel and DC. It is a simple business decision to me that they both realised "fans will go wild if we announce a whole string of films", especially because it means that films like Doc Strange and Captain Marvel are seen to fit into the whole thing, and that will attract General Audience.

The problems isn't to fix dates, i don't criticize that. All studios can choose the dates in advance.
It is more the attitude of fans .
"Oh my god DC is going to kill Marvel with their big slate......Sorry DC fans, Marvels Studios ...... our crappy slate .

The coincidence of similar announcements is interesting though

Batman AND Superman then Cap AND Iron Man
DCCU slate announced and dated then MCU slate announced and dated
One of WBs is a female led and one a minority led and by sheer coincidence Two of Marvels are the same.

Those Marvel films have been predicted for quite some time. Fans have really been waiting and hearing rumors for Carol and BP to show up for awhile.

I really wasn't surprised by one of the announcements. Minus Infinity War being two parts.

One thing is for sure: DC/Warner and Marvel really care about their fanbases giving these epic announcements all at once.

If only I felt the same with the X-Men universe......... but no. Fox once again feels like the last boy on the classroom.

Its pretty dissapointment how in 14 yeas they havent showed the true and complete potential of most of the x-men.

But anyway, pretty happy with today's Marvel huge announcement, and so happy for their fans, Im ready for both Civil War, Black Panther! and Captain Marvel! finally a female movie, soooo ready!

It's only a matter of time before X-Force, Gambit and that X-Men tv show happen. We got Deapdool finally. They are expanding and making moves.

Surfer would be a nice surprise. And a new set of X films will be there as well eventually.

SDCC 2015 should be a good year for them. Deadpool, Apocalypse and F4 should all have a major presence during their panel.

Infinity War is a two part story, big difference. Why wouldn't we have Justice League sequels?

yeah that is justice league 2. I just realised at SDCC 2015 there may be some footage for Deadpool if its release is feb 2016 and footage of Apoc (most likely not but it happened at the one before DOFP and the release date is similar)

Yeah, I really think we will have footage for both Deadpool and Apocalypse at SDCC. Hopefully the Deadpool trailer gets released around that time. As it's impossible to get into Hall H.

Hopefully some cool announcements on future films as well. SDCC is the place to do it. Or used to be at least.

It's not going to be 2 part story for JL.Scoopers who are being proved right said JL will have brainic as villain and will end with green lantern arriving on earth to warn of greater threat and then In JL2 you have darkseid VS JL with Green Lantern now as member.

Well it's obviously intended to have sequels. Like any franchise. Right now it's part 1 and 2 like X-Men 1 and 2 or Spider-Man 1 and 2. Not like how Potter, Avengers and Hunger Games go about it by splitting 1 story/movie of a series in two parts and then relasing them within a year.

There's not even a confirmed title or storyline other then knowing it's Justice League. If they called it something like Justice League: Crisis pt1 and Justice League: Crisis pt 2 then I could see the comparison.

Unless they do actually split the films, calling it Justice League part 1 as the official title is pretty pointless imo. There's no reason for the 1 to be there. We know it's the first of a series by it being the first film called Justice League. Or it would come off like the film series already has a planned limited life. Which I guess could be the case, but also would seem like a very odd decision for something capable of lasting a very long time.

2017 - X-Factor, The Wolverine 2

2018 - X-Men: Mutant Massacre, X-Force

2019 - X-Men: Inferno, Untitled Magneto Movie

2020 - X-Men: House of M Part 1

2021 - X-Men: House of M Part 2

The rumor of Avengers 3 splitting up into 2 came a month before WB revealed their slate.

Seeing the release dates for the upcoming Dc/Marvel films really makes me hungry for another X-Men film with the original cast! I don't want a X-Men movie with a title of "part 1" and "part 2" but geez Fox, make a X-Men 5 and X-Men 6 and if people don't like calling it X5/X6, make a 5th/6th movie with the original cast!

Also it wouldn't hurt Fox to release working logos for their upcoming Marvel films.

Seeing the release dates for the upcoming Dc/Marvel films really makes me hungry for another X-Men film with the original cast!

I love the original cast, but I am ready to move on to a younger version of Cyclops, Jean, and Storm. The thing is, I feel like with a new younger cast, it actually makes the creative forces shift the focus to them because they are the new generation.

I just think with the original cast, the focus would again tend to skew toward Hugh Jackman. They've broken that mold so far with this new trilogy, I just fear they would return to it.
