The latest trailer played in front of my viewing of Batman v Superman, and it actually looked amazing on the big screen. I had a better reaction to it in theater than I did watching it on my laptop. During the actual movie I found myself wishing for the colours and visuals from the trailer. The teenager sitting next to me with his dad recognized it right away and said it's going to be really good. There was an excited rumble in the theater, though I did hear one "where's Wolverine?"

It was part of the gossip for X3 and part of the talk about character choices in First Class. Otherwise, why the heck was Angel Salvadore there? It was said to be a nod to the 60s comics where the male Angel was one of the original X-Men.

I don't see any correlation unless you stretch reality quite a bit.



There have been three characters called Angel, that's the point - even though one was female with insect wings and fiery saliva.

Are you kidding? Why was Mystique, Havok, Banshee or Darwin there? You act as if she was the only departure from the original X-Men team when virtually no one was there except for Beast and the Proffesor.

I agree, I think it would be a mistake to pass on that opportunity.

Those are unimaginative or clunky and do not work as film titles at all.

Here's some I think would work... most are particular stories, of course

X-Men: Zero Tolerance
X-Men: Mutant Massacre
X-Men: Project Proteus (still not quite sure of this) or Proteus Rising? Curse of Proteus? The Proteus Code? Or take out Proteus and call it X-Men: Dark Son Rising ???
X-Men: Battle of the Atom
X-Men: Messiah Complex
X-Men: House of M
X-Men: Second Coming
X-Men: Second Genesis
X-Men: The Omega Code

I'll flick through my comics later to see if i can find any more good titles. But I know there are loads.

They could borrow the title without the story (a la First Class) or do the story associated with the title.

I would rather Jason isaacs as sinister.

On the conversation a few pages back I had a thought about how they could do it as a cross over with Marvel which I think would be good especially as a way to go for both after thanos.

With doc strange possibly exploring some different universes/dimensions they could easily say that X-men is in one of those. By the time the X-men get to the present day through one or two more films they could intro the Phoenix before sending her off into space to return as dark Phoenix.

At the end of infinity war thanos could open rifts to other dimensions with the gauntlet (how I don't know but for whatever reason the stones could end up sent to different dimensions) then the Phoenix leaving earth in X-men could go through a rift in space and in like a gotg after credits scene appear on to way to avengers earth. There doc strange could explain the phenomenon and mr fantastic could figure it out in X-men Earth bringing both together to fight it

I don't see why he'd be so great. Visually he does nothing for me in that role. I'd prefer someone with more of a haunting look about them and smaller features like Cillian Murphy or other actors more likely to be cast as a vampire like Jonathan Rhys Meyers or Luke Evans. I feel they have the weird yet strangely sexual overtones the character needs.

I don't want to make her a member I would prefer Selene. I was saying to the original poster that it would be foolish have her take White Queen spot and seperate her completely from her roots with Jean/Scott and Mr Sinidter would be a mistake.

Angel/Warren in X-Men: The Last Stand

Angel (Salvadore) in X-Men: First Class (there was talk when Vaughn was doing X3 that he was asking about a female version of Angel, and he actually brought in Angel Salvadore for First Class as a nod to the Angel in the original X-Men team in the comics)

...Yes, the insect-winged, female Angel is different to the male, bird-winged Angel, but she was brought into First Class as a nod to the original team of the comics...

Angel Salvadore was an actual XMen during Morrisons run a rather vulgar character as well who got pregnant by Beak and had half bird children. In the comics she was disturbing to me.so I don't think this is true as a nod to the other Angel there two different characters.

i honestly don't see it.. the only role i've liked wes in was in American Beauty... in both Ghostrider and American Horror story.. he over-acted imo... i can't take the guy seriously anymore.. and he's never felt "threatening" i just don't think he has the right gravitas to pull off sinister. Honestly I'd love Hiddleston. But Id be surprised if he was available to do Loki and Sinister.

Tough call. It depends, I guess. If we're doing the Mutant Massacre for Sinister, then Marauders. But if not, the Nasty Boys would be more visually impressive than Marauders.

Ideally, Sinister could be a long-term villain and could use the two teams for a film each.

The Marauders are more iconic though and unlike the Nasty Boys had the privilege of an entire story arc built around them. They are probably the more realistic bet, particularly since the Mutant Massacre is one of the easiest and best stories to adapt for this film franchise IMO.
