I'm been a longtime fan of X-Men but I only read comics on and on-and-off basis. I also only usually read them when story arcs get published into volumes because it's more convenient that way.

Usually, it's because I get overwhelmed by the choice of titles that are available. I've heard a lot of good things about Marvel comics since they've started this whole Marvel Now things. Are there any X-Men comics worthy of checking out these days? What are some of the highlights of Marvel Now X-Men titles?

Personally, the titles that I think are currently the best are:

Magneto (Ongoing)
X-Factor
Uncanny X-Men
All-New X-Men
Uncanny Avengers

This is a question made for the stupid questions thread. To answer your question, it depends on who your favourite characters are. For example if you like Cyclops read the current Uncanny X-Men title or if you like Nightcrawler, try Amazing X-Men. I also like All-New X-Men and the stories Bendis wrote.

I didn't realize it was such a stupid question.

And no, it's not always about following certain characters. At least for me it isn't.

I prefer reading good stories rather than simply follow characters that I like. For example, I like Gambit, but he's been in some bad stories. In fact, a lot of solo stuff has been kind of meh. Same can be said for Wolverine and others. Some writers can write certain characters really well, while others not so much. Like Cyclops, sometimes he's an interesting characters, but other times he can be very bland, all depending on the writer.

I was simply inquiring about any good on going story lines at the moment. There is no reason to be rude. Geez... -___-

Sorry, was referring to this thread here where you can ask any question pertaining to Marvel Comics such as what's worth reading etc.

Some of these are not exactly new stories, but some of my favourites,

Messiah Complex - an X-Men story which features more X-men than I can remember

Dark Avengers - After a series of events, Norman Osborne becomes leader of S.H.I.E.L.D (renames it H.A.M.M.E.R), and assembles a team of villains posing as heroes (Venom as Spiderman, Bullseye as Hawkeye e.t.c), its a story completely focused on Osborne and his 'Dark Avengers', its one of my all time favourite stories and leads into the 'Siege' story, where the Dark Avengers invade Asgard.

Ant-Man and Wasp - Hank Pym has renamed himself Wasp in honour of the recently deceased Janet Van Dyne, a guy called Eric O'Grady is the current Ant-Man, Eric is a jerk, he shrinks down and spies on female teammates, sleeps around, and drinks cheap booze, he's a GREAT character, this was only a 3 issue mini series, but its worth a read because its so funny.

These are just an example of the hundreds of stories you could read, if you want to collect a series I highly recommend X Factor volume 3 by Peter David, it focuses on 'X factor investigations' a detective agency run by Jamie Madrox aka Multiple Man, some great stuff in this series, early Deadpool stories are an easy and hilarious read, oh and back on story arcs, Age of Apocalypse is a must read if you haven't already.

As for Marvel Now I like the new Thunderbolts series, a team consisting of Red Hulk, Agent Venom, Deadpool, Elektra, The Punisher and Red Leader, with Ghost Rider eventually joining, funny stuff.

I know these are not all X-Men related, but you should broaden your horizons

If you want to read Marvel Now X-men I'd start with the first issues of All-New X-men, Uncanny X-men, and Amazing X-men. If you're confused by anything just google your questions.

If you want more from recent history you could read Schism and Avengers vs. X-men. There's actually a long history behind the current status quo of the X-men, for better or worse haha

I'm really enjoying Uncanny X-men, its my favourite.

All new X-men is also really good, and you want to see what happens next.

Wolverine and the X-men are solid fun reads.

Those are my personal 3 favourite.

I also like X-force, I feel this team is much better than Uncanny X-force.

Amazing X-men and X-Men v4 are ok, I read them b/c its the X-men.

I'm gonna give Magneto a shot too.

I was keeping up with the current Uncanny X-Men, and still wish I would have, I really enjoyed it

Wolverine Max and All New X-Men definitely my favorite I recommend those two
