Comics X-men Costumes

A big part of super-heroes is their costumes. Costumes usually show a side to a character that we wouldn't see usually if they were wearing normal clothing. But since this is in an X-men category, what do you think the costumes of the movie or comic book should be? What you would like them to be? Should there be a team look or not?

Of course!! I like the costumes!! I prefer the movies one better, though the comics ones are cool too.

I really like the comic costumes. I like the original gold and blue costumes that were worn by the original team. I also like any costume rogue has worn.

Still, it just doesn't make any sense to star in/write/direct a movie about superheroes and, get this, completely ignore one of the core concepts/gimmicks of superheroes. One that very much defines them at that. Just, WTF? t:

It's a mixed bag. Some of the costumes that the comics adapted from the movies (such as what Cycke wore during the latter run of New X-Men and what he wears now, or Iceman's outfit during the Casey run) quite frankly rock. I'm mostly in favour of the original comic costumes though, as they mostly look just a little more unique than the black leather stuff.

The X1 wig was HIDEOUS, and looked too fake. The second and third were wayyyy better, with X2 wig being my fav.

The Phoenix/Dark Phoenix costume was TERRIBLE. I was actually surprised that they didn't put much work into creating a memorible outfit, that was just sorry.

nah Storm looked great. She hasnt had a great costume in years. That was her last good look

They certainly had the best uniform look going, I agree. I was a big fan of those costumes.

I HATE that costume. It was horrible when Davis first introduced it and I hated that he brought it back when he came back to UXM. I wish it had stayed in the past.

I know this didnt last long and wasnt popular, but I really liked the Kubert design that he created during Revolution. Im talking about the purple one. I wish it were on her for more than 3 issues

From what I've seen, I think the best were the New X-Men looks when Morrison took reigns--just superheroy enough to make 'em look cool, but enough not like one to make them more than superheroes.

When I saw those, I knew they weren't just regular superheroes, they were activists for equality. I dug that.

she tends to get good costumes. I didnt like the pink Shi'ar one though. It wasnt bad but the color was horrendous. Rogue in pink? What were they thinking. It would have looked better colored differently
