Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

I think some of Lawrence's comments/statements (for some fans) came off a little disdainful. Either when she didn't care to name a few characters, or when she said she'd rather be in Guardians.

I don't like her in the X-Men as Raven, but I don't mind her as an actress in general. And I wouldn't mind seeing her in the MCU, in a proper role. Maybe even in Guardians lol
I think most of us are fine with her outside of these recent X-Men films. She's a much better actress outside of these films.

She's not even "bad" except maybe Apocalypse but that film apparently had some behind the scenes issues so... specifically DOFP is her best. Even in Dark Phoenix she didn't look phoned in like the last.

wont ever happen under Fox and with Kinberg overseeing this universe.

yeah, and sadly its once again a movie with the X-Men and Magneto and Mystique taking screentime from them.

I don't think many care about the Banner Widow romance at all

What i wanna know is how many relationships that are made just for the films and are not from the comics are loved by fans? if Banner and window had been a comic relationship, would people have been more on board with it?

I know it all cames across as very random in the Avengers sequel, but your next point here

but would rather the Vision SW one was given more focus (although I think they did the emotional side of that well at the end of IW, just not enough beforehand).

Is what makes me wonder if the comic connection helps people support something even if there isn't all that much there in the films.

"Apocalypse" is just a brilliant superhero movie, and maybe the X-Men movie closest to the comic book world. The final fight had great CGI, great direction, true emotion and passion behind it and when Jean "phoenixed out", it was fantastic! The cinematic version of Apocalypse/En Sabah Nur was very sci-fi and compelling.
To me the movie is a genre masterpiece, the criticism is beyond me.

Lol.

Well ironically since
she most likely dies in the next one
that wouldn't be an issue, even if Marvel didn't reboot it.

blackout doesn't work anymore, btw.

Well its scheduled to go into pre development soon as per Kinbergs latest interviews and how hes hyping up the film to have romantic vibes.

According to the latest reports, the Disney-FOX deal could be done by January. Gambit doesn't have a director yet, or a cast.

I'd be shocked if this movie ever see the light of the day.

The movie of course!

I enjoyed Apocalypse and rewatch it from time to time, but a genre masterpiece it is not :funny:
It’s not even a masterpiece within the franchise, let alone the whole CBM genre.

Just because ONE person said it was a "masterpiece" doesn't mean others should come after them with snarky jokes made at their expense just because you disagree.

It just shows people over speculate at times.

Really thats the normal response people give if they don't like what they hear.

Thats why the Star Wars franchise is in abit of a rut now days.

Yeah, doesn't really seem possible.
