If what was anounced is right and the First Class is going to be released in 18th July of 2014 then it's officially
    728
more days until the film is released.

Since X-Men didn't reach 728 yet let's start with the first appearance of the characters and other notorious stories.

    Day 1

Yes, let's start with the classic first one. The First appearance of Magneto, Charles Xavier and Beast (This is just for the characters that appear in the First Class movies).

    Cool idea!

I started the 60's comics one month ago, because i want to know the whole history of the xmen since day one

Its great to see how all started and to see the original five working and living together on the school, all that stuff makes me more interested in the future sequels yet, to watch the evolution of the team and their relationships

i hope matthew pay more attention to this in the sequel

Yeah, i read some of their early adventures, while i didn't like those stories as much as Jack Kirby and Stan Lee's work on Fantastic Four (which made them some of my favourite heroes) they had some charm, and i think that the X-Men facing Magneto in a government facility or something like that would be a nice reminder of their first encounter with him in X-Men #1. But i guess something similar was made with the last battle against Shaw in that island.

At this point....just wake me when Fox loses the right to make any Marvel comicbook films ever.

You'd think that at this point, most X-men fans would want better from Hollywood....

I really wish that Marvel Studios had X-men, Dare Devil and F4 back.

Keep in mind that The Hulk was much better once Marvel got the rights back for him. So just imagine how great X-men would be in the hands of a studio who cared about the actual characters, continuity, script and plot...

That's just my opinion but if you're happy just seeing anything then so be it...

As for me, Fox comicbook films get nothing more than a Red box rental moving forward...

Sincerelly, the best X-Men stories don't involve the rest of the marvel universe, the x-men universe is big enough to stand on its oun. And Fox is now giving more freedom to their directors, not to mention that Bryan Singer is controling this franchise, and he's the right man to that job.

Daredevil's rights should be wherever spider-man's are, Daredevil being ouned by SONY would fit much more than him being ouned by Marvel Studios, unless Spider-man goes to Marvel Studios too.

Who said they all had to team up...?

You're obviously missing the bigger picture here. Because of Fox we'll never see the Shiar, Annihilus or Silver Surfer in a Gaurdian's based "Annihilation movie" which on that scale could rival anything George Lucas has done in the last 10 years. Plus you and I both know that Fox doesn't know what to do with any of those characters. And because of Sony, we'll never see Norman Osborn lead a "Dark Avengers team" on the big screen. Or how about Iron man taking on a team of Doom bots in a short cameo??? The possibilities would be endless if Marvel had all of it's rights back. Sadly Dare Devil is going to end up like The Ghost Rider and The Punisher as long as he's in Fox's back pocket.

And despite your blind faith in Singer. I feel that we've seen the limit of what that Studio can or will do with this franchise... Sure you can't go wrong with characters like Magneto but what about the rest? Their backwards continuity has ruined the entrance for other X-men characters. But I'm sure that wont stop them from shoehorning them all in there at some point but that just doesn't sit well with me as an X-men fan. I think they deserve better.

Maybe it's just me who can see a more potential if these lost Marvel characters where with Disney. But I know for Galactus's sake it couldn't possibly be any worse....

    Yay only 2 years go!

Its not really a long wait since we have The Wolverine next year and we already have the first five X-Men movies that we can watch at home.

oh yes another of the marvel studios Is great and everyone else Is terrable.

I don't want X-Men or FF characters to prop up Avengers related films.

Marvel studios doesn't seem to realize that more are aware of 616 universe than Ultimate
universe.People were reading marvel comics before ultimate Spider-man and ultimate
    X-men In 2000.

X2 and X-Men first Class have better ratings on RT than most marvel studios films besides The Avengers and Iron Man.I will take X-Men,X2,and First Class over most
marvel studios films Including Iron Man.

Marvel has proven they can ride roughshot over directors like Fox.Iron Man 3,Thor:The Dark world, and Captain America:The Winter soldier all being done by new directors. And
both Thor and Cap directors are being done with people who don't have exceperence or vision of Bryan Singer or Matthew Vaughn.

If Marvel cares so much about characters why have we had 3 banners In 3 different
films. And why instead of hulk sequel they are doing a TV show where we will probally see
Hulk on screen for 5 minutes an episode. And why do they Ignore the comic book version
of Bruce Banner In favor of a film version of TV David Banner(That was the Banner we
    saw In The Avengers)

Marvel studios only cares about Avengers related films.GOTG Is being made to further lead Into The Avengers 2 with Thanos.Where Is Dr Strange?Where Is Sub-Mariner?
Where Is Punisher? Where Is Blade? Where Is Black Panther? How many years have
they talked up ant-Man?a Test doesn't mean anything.A test was done for deadpool.

I don't want to wait 10 years for another X-Men film. That's exactly what would happen
If marvel got rights to it.Considering how tired I am of reboots I certinly don't want them
to get hold of X-men.And we certinly don't need another Spider-Man reboot after the
    Amazing Spider-Man.

I never said anything about the Fantastic Four, in fact i allways believed that franchise and it's characters belonged to Marvel Studios. But above all what i'm looking more for is a good movie, Fox does seem to know what they want with the X-Men franchise and i don't have a blind faith in Bryan Singer, that assumption is just silly

I didn't read Anihilation yet so i can't say anything about that but in the last 20 years there have been a lot of movies in the scale of Star Wars, even 2001: A Space Odyssey which preceded it was bigger in scale, it's just it's popularity that was one of a kind when it first appeared, now there are so many big franchise that it's probably impossible to have such an impact as Star Wars has back then.

X-Men films continuity is right now very strange but i considered First Class a kind of new begining for the franchise, the sequel even seems to be being based on Days of Future Past and to redeem the timelines but we'll see.

And with team-ups i meant that i like the X-Men universe more as it's oun universe without references to the rest of the Marvel Universe, the comics have sometimes done this in the past years, some times it seems like it's oun universe with its oun problems.

And a shared universe can be a drag, directors will have to follow Marvel's plan and will have some restrictions to what they can do in terms of scale, why do you think that Nolan wanted The Dark Knight Rises to be his last Batman film and his universe to not include Superman or any other superhero for that mather?

Not saying it doesn't have its advanteges, but you can't deny that there are also many disadvantages and things that may turn some good directors off the project, one example is Edgar Wright's Ant-Man which has potencial of being great but because it's supposed to be set in the MCU, his original ideas to make his oun thing is in danger.

I don't have a blind faith in Bryan Singer, he didn't develop all the characters as he could have, but you seem to have a blind faith Marvel Studios

    You're obviously a Fox exec...

Just because they aren't agreeing with what you are saying, they are already working for FOX or a blind follower of Bryan Singer. Maybe you need to humble up your attitude because I don't want to read your insults anymore.

Neither do i, YoungPrime, if you want to discuss that, there's is a thread just for that right here in First CLass sequel section. And stop calling us Bryan Singer blind followers or Fox studios executives, we obviously see flaws in Fox but we're liking how things there so far, you're the one who seems to have a blind faith in Marvel Studios, so you're obviously a Fox studios exec ;)

    Moving on.

Wow, that's fascinating - when did the Scarlet Witch become, you know, not green? Oh, and nice to see Marvel Girl being proactive and useful as usual :o !

It's strange but in the covers she was green, however in the story itself she used her usual scarlet color. It's funny to see that Marvel Girl and Sue Storm ended up with the stronguest powers of their respective teams but during Stan Lee/ Jack Kirby's years they didn't do too much.

Apart from bring in Scott and Reed's pipe and slippers respectively! Dave Cockrum called that them (Jean with an implication of others like her) simps and "houswife heroes" mainly "To be looked at and rescued". That's interesting about the green though, thanks. And a great thread, I'm looking forward to following it - Banshee's X-Factor audition in 725 was a realy eye opener lol !
