The DVD/Blu-ray marketing has already started!

Here's what I found so far:

1) Amazon.co.uk Exclusive Box Set with Cerebro helmet:

2) Amazon.co.uk Exclusive Empire Edition Book Pack

Do we actually have any confirmation of a Directors/extended cut yet?

No. And Mangold's Extended Cut of The Wolverine was the same film but with some longer sequences, rather than adding in completely new and unseen material that had been removed.

I'd love them to do extended editions that do add in stuff, but they'd probably argue that what we saw in cinemas was definitive.

But them finishing special effects for Rogue scenes hint at a extended cut. That doesn't happen really inless there Is a extended cut.

Singer has never done one before but maybe he was inspired by James Cameron and
Peter jackson.

I think its been stated that an entire 25 minute story arc was there, that was only removed late in editing/post production. It'd be an easy cash in to release it as a seperate version someway down the line.

If this really is the end of the OT then they should release an alternate cut

Judging by the number of people bombarding Singer on twitter with requests for an extended cut he might do it to get some piece and quiet.

They usually do finish the FX for deleted scenes though. There were loads of deleted scenes on X3 that had completed FX. Completing the FX does not necessarily mean a special edition extended cut. Not saying you are wrong, but people shouldn't get their hopes up.

I already tried pestering years ago for an Extended Cut of X3 and was told they wouldn't be doing one. :csad:

Why would you want to extend it, surely shortening it by 120 minutes was the way to go with that one:cwink::woot:

Things like the Storm conversation about her origins that was cut out, and would have made her motivations better and softened her attitude.

Fair enough, but yeah they dont have a track record of doing it so seems unlikely.

There is a petition website I see set up for Rogues cut scenes to be included in an extended cut if anyone thinks that sort of thing works.

Any news on the special features? I hope Singer does a commentary with Simon Kinberg.

Singer DID do X-Men 1.5 before the release of X2.

They did the same thing with the first Spider-Man movie as well. Not sure if they did with Spider-Man 2 or not.

They were sort of director's/extended cuts.

What extra things were in X 1.5? Anything much?

I don't believe there was THAT much, plot wise, changed. Haven't watched it since they released the 1.5 dvd.

Jut did a quick Google search; it wasn't so much a re-cut of the film, as i was that the dvd had an enhanced viewing option, wherein an icon would pop up, and you hit a button on your remote, and it would play a deleted scene. So, when watching it this way, you could "re-insert" the deleted scenes back into the movie as you watched it.
Apparently it was the exact same 6 deleted scenes that were included in the original DVD release, just with the re-insertion option thingy, and additional special features, and previews of the upcoming "*Marvel" films of the time.

*Fantastic Four, Daredevil, X2, and apparently League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Those never work. I don't know why people even try. That's a great thought and a thought I agree with. But people should know by now petitions won't work.

DVD and Blu Ray technology has changed so much since X3. So I don't take much stock in...well X-Men or X2 or X3 didn't have an extended cut so DOFP won't have one.

It could very well not have one, but i'm just pointing out that a long time has passed since X3 came out on home video.

Kinda disappointed witht he steelbook. For £22, that's a lame cover :/
