You know I could see if they didn't want to have Stan in a really in your face fashion like Iron Man or Thor but it would have been really easy to have him be one of the generals in the war room or something.

Well Stan wasn't in X2 either and that is probably tied or second best X-Men film as well. So maybe there is some type of theory of not having Stan in these X films. lol

They probably could've had him thrown in as one of the "patrons" at the Hellfire Club, a guy at the Argentinian bar, or a random stranger walking behind Moira at Oxford when Xavier and Raven are walking to get a drink.

Corey Johnson, another well known character actor, popping up for two lines was pretty interesting to see...Also, the #1 guy for military character actors, Glenn Morshowe, I didn't know would be in this...

According the Stan himself, they didn't have him in it so that viewers could try to look for him in the second viewing :awesome: The man is truly awesome.

I know him better as the guy from 24!

How about Brendan Fehr? would he be considered a cameo? Any Roswell fans on this board? :oldrazz:

Wolverines one liner in the movie was a million times better than Origins could ever dream of being.

Did anyone else spot Cyclops and Storm in the cerebro sequence. I squeed a little when I saw them. Can't wait to watch the movie again so I can see even more mutants!

Storms was a little more obvious (an African girl with white hair, kinda stands out) but, I think the Cyclops one might be more based on speculation

tho, given the timeline, that almost could of been her mother, instead

Ya even though I smiled seeing Storm, it wouldve been early for her since she wasnt that old in the original trilogy. But just like w/Wolverine having her cameo in the trailer/deleted scenes as a child.

at least there she was actually shown as a young child,(an that scene was in mid to later 70’s) it almost could of fit the timeline... here she looked a bit older, early teenagers even... which would make here way to old in the original trilogy, I mean, at this point in time, even showing any of the original members, as babies might be a bit of a stretch

it was just thrown in there as a referece to the character, like I said, even if it were her mother (tho, I don't believe her mother was ever suggested to be a mutant herself, or to have white hair, was she?), its still a nice nod to character, just the same

Has someone come up with a list of the mutants shown in Cerebo?
I'm pretty sure I saw a Blob like kid.
But I think there were at least 10-15 people shown, surely they were meant to be recognized.

And let me say this, cheers to all those that kept the Logan scene a secret. I'm amazed that I had no idea it was going to be in there.
Never thought I would experience a surprise in a big summer movie again.
I saw that cigar and expected to see another actor, slightly out of view.

Someone told me he appeared on Cerebro and my eyes were working like crazy, guess it was just a bad rumor.

This is also a semi-reboot. Obviously they totally ignored the young Emma and Scott from XMOW, at least in the timeline sense.

They are loosely sticking with the continuity so anything is possible.

"Semi" and "loose" don't seem strong enough words. If you think about it, this film totally rebooted the entire franchise, with the exception of Hugh Jackman's casting.

Now, Erik didn't help build Cerebro, Moira doesn't know Xavier, Xavier was crippled (and had hair) before rescuing Cyclops, Xavier and Erik never recruited Jean like in the third film, Xavier knows about Magneto's helmet before the shootout scene in the first film, etc, etc.

Someone thought Stan Lee should've been the guy on the Russian ship that was pushed aside by the first mate under Xavier's control.. :p

Those are fairly minor and many can be explained - i.e. Xavier and Erik at some point reconciled between XFC and the rest of the films, thus making it possible that they both recruited Jean and Magneto helped make Cerebro. Calling it a "total reboot" is an overstatement.

Wow...there is no way the entire franchise has been rebooted.

Its amazing how badly people jump to conclusions or react to things being altered.

And the best part, these are the type of people that wish films were more like the comics...the said standard for just reconning and switching things around every two years.

All those things mentioned by Spawn can be easily explained in the sequels, i think the only thing Singer has done really is in a sense retool the aspects of the sequels he didn't have a part with to fit his own vision. Plus i much rather stick to whatever vision Singer has in mind then that of other people.
