The story for my personal version of this X-Factor movie would be...
Cyclops awakes in the forests close to alkali lake. He stumbles through the forest with no recollection of who he is. He does not have his visor but his powers have not returned yet. As he continues through the forest he starts to experience flashes of the past in his mind: The different images of Jean, Wolverine and a sinister figure flash through his mind.
Cyclops reaches a road and while he is disorientated by the disturbing memories a large truck rounds the corner. He turns at the last instant and gasps: A memory of being held down by the sinister figure flashes before him. The figure attempts to restrain him but scott resists. We see that at that point scott is a young boy. The figure attempts to move a ruby quartz contraption over scott`s face. Scott shoves it away and tears his face from beneath the figures palm. His eyes open and his ruby energy envelops the scene.
Back in the present day, Cyclop`s eyes suddenly flicker red and a beam of brilliant scarlet light bursts forth. The energy crashes into the truck rending the empty passsenger side of it and sending the vehicle skidding backwards. Still dazed cyclops stumbles off his eyes temporarily human again. The injured driver struggles free from the wreckage and passes out. Cyclops stumbles on with memories of his days at the x-mansion conflicting with the hazy memories of an orphanage of some kind and the bully who tormented scott there.
Scott soon reaches a small town and heads into a bar. He slowly regains some of his memory as he eats a small meal. He remembers the date of the day he went to alkali lake but is shocked to learn that that was over 2 years ago. He tries to leave and find a room to stay in but is instead met by an angry mob. The driver of the truck is amongst them and tells the others taht cyclops is a mutie. The crowd attacks cyclops and he is beaten to the floor.
He screams as other memories flood back to him. He remembers fire and then suddenly falling, the hazy image of a burning aircraft. He then remembers lying battered on the ground below with the same figure knelt over him with a sinister grin, reaching towards him.
In the present day, his eyes blaze red again as he yells in rage. A burst of optic blast frees him from the dogpile and send several assailants through the air. Several passers-by and police officers who felt not to get involved now join the fray against scott. Fighting essentially blind, scott relies on instinct alone to fend of the attacks. After a frenetic cgi display of optic blasts and carefully coreographed stunts the town is left scorched and battle scarred, the groggy mob preparing to regroup as cyclops collapses from exhaustion.
A young teenager rushes forth to stand between the battered and bruised mob and cyclops. As they try to force her aside she transforms into a bizarre feral werewolf creature. The crowd shaken and terrified disperse and flee from the two mutants. As she tries to help cyclops up his optic blasts burst forth again, she binds his eyes with a strip of cloth and hurriedly guides him into the forest.
