X-Men - Part 3

the more i look at that cover the more I want a tv show based on the Starjammers

Given Fox owns the live action TV rights to the X-Men, sci-fi shows tend to fail on Fox, and most X-Men fans hate outer space for some reason I don't understand, that show would fail.

They could go for an animated series, but X-Men fans would avoid it harder than Wolverine & the Jets, and it'd also get canceled.

Fringe didn't fail. :o

Sorry, I forgot about Fringe. It's pretty much just Fringe and X-Files.

Firefly, The Lone Gunmen, Millennium, Alien Nation, Dark Angel, Tru Calling, Dollhouse, and Sliders didn't fair too well on Fox.

Mmm, Dark Angel. Jessica Alba has never been more awesome.

has anyone read the X-Men Season One? I enjoyed it alot. They managed to do a pretty good job skating around the established Lee/Kirby continuity while expanding on them at the same time. I'm hoping theyre gonna do a Season Two, bring in Mimic, Havok, and Polaris.

No wonder he's the one who started the school back up. He's the only one with enough creepy pedophile cred for it. :awesome:

The Jean Grey School = The Boy Scouts of America/Catholic Church/Penn St Football all rolled into one.

For those who were wondering, Uncannyxmen.net finally revealed all the mystery characters in that contest I talked about a few weeks ago. Here's the full pic:

From left to right, they are Wallflower, Catseye, Kylun, Sunder, Abyss, Gosamyr, Zeitgeist, and Scanner.

Or the Adventures of Brisco County Jr. :(

Why does Colossus still have his organic steel look when he was given similar powers to the Juggernaut? I would imagine the powers given to him by Cytorrak would be more powerful than his mutant powers, and the armor look would be worthless.

bc organic steel is his mutant power...its in his DNA. Cain Marko had no mutant ability so we never saw what effect that would have on him if he did. He is still a mutant and still able to use the power he had before. If anything the combination of the two might even make him stronger and more durable than the original Juggernaut was

I don't see how. The original Juggernaut's skin was already much tougher than Colossus'.

A combination effect? Maybe 1 (Piotr) + 2 (Jugs) = 3 instead of 2 (just Jugs) if that makes any sense. I dont know. There's atill alot about his current status that has not been defined

But toughness isn't really additive. I mean, the Juggernaut's skin could withstand nuclear explosions that I'm pretty sure would melt Colossus into a pile of shiny goo. Coating that skin (since presumably Piotr's skin is now as tough as Cain's was) with weaker organic metal isn't somehow gonna make it withstand those nukes any better or worse, it's just an unnecessary extra thing that serves no purpose.

I guess that means that Colossus could survive a black hole.

I was thinking more strength as in ability to hit and cause damage when I made my original post. Besides his skin doesnt need to serve a purpose. Its in his DNA and him having the power of Cytorrak doesnt change him on a molecular level. He should and still has access to his natural ability

Eh, maybe. Based on their portrayals, though, I'd still put my money on Cain in his prime.

I don't know what you're talking about.

To go back and answer the question, I went back through UXM , the latest issue of Uncanny addresses it. Piotr has been steel 24/7 ever since he became Juggernaut. He chooses to remain in this form to control the Cytorrak transformation. Apparently it helps him control his urges and keeps Cyorrak from completely taking over his soul. Illyana alluded to this in the past. #10 she says that Piotr is mostly in control but is fearful when Cytorrak is in control (when he uses it power to become Juggernaut). She talks about his soul in #1 and in #8, she tells him that he is still him, despite the changes that Cytorrak has done with him

That's weird. Not sure why being metal would have any influence over his soul, but whatever. Comics!

Didn't he say that it makes him feel like a superhero, so maybe it's just a mental thing?

Magic generally doesn't handle metals or irons very well.

yeah I definetly think its psychological and if thats the case then I dont see why he hasnt sought help from Emma or Xavier (I know if someone could remember him). Besides him being in armored form all the time is not safe for those around himm, especially the kids. What if someone bumps into him or he falls down? He should only be armored up in battle

Just iron, actually, and I'm pretty sure that's mostly British magic. Cyttorak's magic has certainly never had any problem with metal, given that the Juggernaut is sort of clothed mostly in metal.
