X-Men - Part 8

Potential massive Psylocke spoiler for MiM

So she died in issue #2 and #3 had her telepathically communicate to the team. Well the Dodson variant cover was just released hinting to her fate

ONE OF THE X-MEN IS CHANGED FOREVER!

Looks like she switched bodies yet again

Just don't mess up Psylocke.

Also Dodson is one of favorite artists in Marvel right now.

Finally the X-men are dealing withthe mutant assasin Typhoide mary and it's team up with other heroes my fave with spider. sadly it's not dare Devil (which isthe bat man of the MCU) but I'll get mydoage of mutant powers martial arts & heroes team ups .

Too bad psylocke not here on this team might have been better to see Psylocke & electra throw down with her.

This cover is making me curious if something is happening to RED

#XMen, #Spiderman and #IronFist to crossover for a story on Typhoid Mary. I was always a fan of hers and the unpreditability she brings. Would love to see a modern story involving her and #MoonKnight.

It just seems redundant to use X-Men Red as a title when both Blue/Gold are done.

Bring back Adjectiveless and pair it up with Astonishing/Uncanny. Gosh it would be like the 2000s again!

which is a big problem the books and readers tend to have; that chase for nostalgia instead of pushing things forward. Red was amazing, with an interesting lineup and concept. It'll likely end with #12 as all signs point to Uncanny drawing from it. The TF team seems to be an indication of that book's lineup

I'll have to check this out, looks cool. :)

I have to admit, the second issue was a little too convoluted for me...

Boy, have I forgotten how much I hate Land drawing Dazzler.

I am enjoying Rosenberg's attention to continuity, but good lord, why did it have to be Land.

What's eXactly the problem in using adjectiveless as a title again which have been used since the 90s? Instead of this random Red title that doesn't mean anything.

I was merely talking about using the title again and not regress storytelling.

Ugh! Marvel just retconned a MAJOR aspect of X-23's backstory.
She isnt a clone of Wolverine. She's his biological daughter with Sarah Kinney

Same thing though really. Not like a huge difference to me.

I dont like it.
Logan has multiple kids. What made her special was the clone backstory and the struggles that came along with that and learning to be her own person. This revelation was unnecesary and now she's just another kid. The core aspect of her is now gone and I dont think it was a wise decision. What bothers me the most bc I JUST started reading All New Wolverine and read up through Enemy of the State II yesterday. Being a clone is very core to the series story arc thus far and this retcon cheapens it IMO

I guess the difference for me is that --

it still was an artificial pregnancy, right? It's not like Laura's mother actually met Logan.

I caught up to the last two issues of Gold and eh. Prestige Dark was just so meh. Other than the Pyro/Iceman thing, it's just an underwhelming story arc. Godwar... I'm fine with a centric Storm story, though it just doesn't seem eXciting as the final story arc for Gold.

it is but I think changing that core aspect of her backstory undermines it. I think Im gonna stop reading All New Wolverine now and maybe come back to it later bc that revelation is a big turnoff for me that takes away what made her interesting. Ive liked Taylor's work thus far but Im disappointed with this

On a related note, there was another big reveal.

One of the X-men isnt [BLACKOUT]a mutant and is actually a traitor. People are speculating that its Firestar[/BLACKOUT]

Her being a clone is important in her solo series right now.

How was this retcon actually explained? I haven't read the issue. Is she not Wolverine's DNA patched with Sarah's?

It wasnt exactly explained. Tony said that Laura wasnt a clone but that she had the DNA of Sarah Kinney in her. Originally Sarah had duplicated ogan's X chromosome to compensate for the damaged Y. The retcon implied that she instead used her own X, therefore making Laura an IVF baby with a father and mother.[/BLACKOUT]

kinda reminds me of this reTcon not that racheal will ever be born inthis time line it's long past that. it's that jean would tell rechel to not call her mom.

I'm not sure how I feel about that, but the idea of saying "you have a mother too" could add additional stories and development to the character.

Sarah was already her mom, so I'm just very confused about what the point of this was and what exactly was changed.
