I like that Betsy is back to her original British form. I came into comics during the 90s and only knew her in her Asian form for years, but while going back and reading older issues, I found that I really preferred her back then. I think the constant sexifying of the Asian Betsy got old for me (though it's gotten better of late).
I liked the Kwannon/Ravanche plot in the 90s though and would actually like to see the two of them as individuals again. We'll see if it happens.
Huh... I read the issue but must have missed that. Going back and looking through it, I read that page and it didn't click that that was Kwannon. I don't know why as it's pretty obvious, but I think I just saw "Psylocke" and thought Betsy. Then again, it was late when I read this issue and I was tired.
Do we have any information on when this plot will be followed up on?
I hope so.
So here's a question for you guys. It seems like the X-Men always have solid transition points from one era to the next. Do you think the upcoming Uncanny X-Men event will be the end of the current era or the beginning of the next?
Well, Extermination answered the question about how they would deal with Angel's Black Vortex powers in order to go back in time...
Extermination is great. It was low on my radar but the first two issues feel worthy of a comic wrapping up the last several years with the O5.
The team teen Jean decided to go with is a random choice for her. I wonder if there's reason, but regardless its a cool team.
hmmm. I don't know I never liked it when they flip flop with magneto from good to bad repetedIy. I don't. I don't care if it's something that's been gong in for ever, It just comes off as the writers bickering when ever a new one(new up &coming writer) comes along compared otherformer writers that came before him & her (which is tiresome buthas been happen alot since 2013) and the character that hasn't been put in the "mental health illness catigory" looks silly when ever this happens.I am also assuming that Rosenberg is getting another New Mutant mini. Because, what the hell!
X-men Blue, it was nice to see villainous Magneto again. And I like his new Brotherhood.
Bastion was just used in Blue and Sinister in the Hunt for Wolverine. Apocalypse returns this fall in X-men BlackEven the Inhumans have a new villain in Death of the Inhumans. Anyway, I skimmed Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends, is Periscope a new villain? I haven't seen her before.
And yes, they should totally create new villains. Even the 2000s had Cassandra Nova, though not completely original as she just looks like an evil Xavier. I think the Nancy from X-Men Gold is new, though not completely refreshing. A lot of X titles well the team books that I'm reading just recycle villains. Its just a matter of time when Apocalypse, Sinister and Bastion are about to make a return. And if they aren't recycling villains, they are turning the good mutants into a villain. I just skimmed Dead Souls, I didn't read it but was that really Warlock or just some evil alien?
I know I know, this is impossible just like hoping for a new breakout star in the team that isn't a clone/daughter/son/younger version/alternate version of an established character, but I'd like to see Marvel create a new big bad that would be remembered for decades. I liked Children of the Vault but they are forgotten.
Also I'm curious what the big event will be in Uncanny. I don't know if it is the ramification from eXtermination, but I hope it would be something monumental, like I'm hoping it would the event to think of when we look back in 2018 and the 2010s.

It’s not constant of course, but it does cheapen going good for a very long time for me also if you are eventually going to go bad again anyway. But I guess that’s comics lol and people (including me) are always going to want to see evil Mags again so I’m not really complaining. He’s too cool a character.I don't think a good decade as part of the X-men is constantly flip flopping.
