Personally id be disappointed if they didn't keep at least the 90s cyclops costume design for Dark Phoenix.

Maybe nightcrawlers too.

i would be shocked if they don't continue the colorful costumes.

again costumes don't influence how i like or dislike film.

bvs has most accurate batman costume yet it certinly isn't my favorate batman film.i will continue to love x2 most out of x-men films even though they have leather outfits.

They would get a backlash from producing a bad movie like Apocalypse. Not the costumes. Look at Netflix Marvel, the costumes look cheap or they simply don't exist.

Cause theyre mcu and none will complain about them.

but fox will also get complaints. Go read some logan reviews from hard core fans. They dont like logan just cause hugh jackman isnt dressing yellow.

so fox is smart to not post anything cause it gets backlash for doing anything.

They just need to stop putting the X-MEN in Matrix Leather or Black Flight Suits.

If they do the costumes right that will go a long way with building good will.

I thought that having 7 and 1/2 good films out of 10 films (Apocalypse was good at some parts) was building towards good will.

its fair to say that they will do what they feel is best and not what the fans just want to see.

Mangold obviously felt colorful costumes didn't work in his vision for Logan, but fans will obviously never see it the same way because there is more restriction from a directors POV then there is a fans imagination.

If fans had their way, you'll be getting a shot for shot live action remake of the 90's cartoon (which I'm pretty sure a lot of X-Men fans get their knowledge from). It'll make the die hards happy, but for anyone that loves cinema would see it as a pale imitator (Why watch a 2.5 hour adaptation of the cartoon when you can watch the whole series online).

No... Those are all Hugh Jackman X-MAN movies featuring his sidekicks The X-MEN. Which is why everyone (myself included cried during Logan), but most the GA could careless about X-MAN's mutant side kicks like Cyclops.

Those guys from the "Keep Hope Alive" forum........I don't think they were ever fans.

This may be true to some fans but not all fall in that category. I did grow up on the 90s cartoon thats how I initially got introduced to the XMen and when I fell in love with the Goddess Storm she was just so cool to me and powerful. Although after the series I took it into my own hands to go back and do my own research and I started from Giant Sized XMen and I caught myself back up and got a proper backstory and knowledge of these characters in particular my fascination with Storm. Not everyone here wants a direct page from page adaption just the majority of their inspiration coming from the comics and they add a twist to make certain things work that wouldn't work in the movies. Things like being faithful to the characters and giving them a semblance of the representation of what they were in the comics, i mean some of us fell in love with these characters for a reason so on the big screen there should be some representation of that in which the movies lack with certain characters and leaving others as shells.

The "Keep Hope Alive" forum is primarily focused on the FF as it was created in response to the reboot commonly known as FFINO. There's not a lot of talk about Logan's costume on that thread.

it wouldn't be from me.the 90's show is overrated and it's noteven best x-men animated show.that is wolverine and the x-men despite making wolverine a leader it did better job.

some who moan about faithfulness don't even know the comics.

This makes no sense so I ignore when people like marvelrobbins says this.

Singer watched all the episodes and didn't read the issues. Dodd said Jackman told him he practiced his voice. Singer & Kinberg RT trailer recuts of the Apocalypse trailer. Hoults ringer is the theme. Etc etc etc

The only reason these X-MEN movies are even made at FOX is for one reason the popularity of the show. Just because some diss the show doesn't make them some comic book aficionado. I know the show and love it but I still think I know just as much as anyone about X-MEN whether it's A Lister's like Wolverine or Z Lister's like Opal Tanaka.

This 90's movie should embrace the show that's what the people want. Power Rangers & TAS saved FOX and was getting better ratings on primetime than NBC, ABC, CBS etc in a time where there were only what 60-70 channels if that. So marvelrobbins can diss TAS all he/she wants but without it there'd be no Singer FOX-MEN universe. And it's soooooooo overrated but Singer the unquestionable used direct scenes and tropes from it.

Making the show similar to TAS would result in more buzz & a bigger box office.

those that hate all x-men films except deadpool and at times first class will never stop attacking fox with x-men.even though they only had really 2 bad films.

We were both quoting YoungBlood lol.

A well done tribute to the Fox X-Men films that I thought I would share. Love them or hate them or frustrated by them the X-Men films are an important part of the modern age of Super Hero movies for sure. The song is SAVAGES by MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS.

Yeah i grew up with the 90s cartoon and i believe i still have 3 VHS somewhere of the first 4 episodes and ironicly the phoenix saga but i don't see the next movie being anymore influenced by the Cartoon then any of the movies have been

the 90's animated show influenced characters selected for first film beyond that
only time animated show has influced was putting floating wheelchair in dofp and jubilee in apocalypse.

of course that is part of problem for some.they want just live action version of 90's animated show.doudtful kinberg will do it anymore than singer, ratner, and vaughn did.dofp was based off of comic version not animated version.

That one is on my list of favorite X-Men tributes. :) These two are also great:

One of my favorite X-Men tributes though was done with the song Radioactive, but that one was taken down due to a copyright claim by FOX.

great tribute videos.

Since this will be set during the 1990s then I wonder where Logan/Wolverine will fit? Unless they plan on recasting Wolverine and bringing in a new actor to play a younger Wolverine I mean it would make sense given the whole time travel aspect of the X-Men franchise and what they did in DOFP but also what they did in Apocalypse too

Oh you can bet that Logan will be recasted.
