Jolie was in Mr and Mr.Smith, which Kinberg wrote. Imagine if Fox had signed Pitt for Cable and then Jolie for Lilandra. That would've been something.

I kinda prefer Chastain as a hero, but Chastain herself might prefer a role that's out of the ordinary so...(her comments about wanting to be a Bond villain come to mind)

this is defently something.fox and kinberg going for a list actress.and yes this
confirms lilandra is in film.

fingers crossed a list actress takes it.thus if we have to endure lawrence again
maybe she will take a lot of money for supporting role

again i am puzzled how they will introduce shiar,do outer space plot,and be true to dark phoenix.even the 1990's animated show split phoenix into 5 part episode and dark phoenix into 4 part episode.but,we will find out.

Chastain is probaly more likely to do it out of the 2.but stranger things have happened than jolie beong dark phoenix so maybe she will do it if Lilandra is written as strong character.

So this seems like Lilandra & IG vs X-MEN & Dark Phoenix. Jolie vs Turner (Maleficent 2) mixed with Jolie vs McAvoy (Wanted 2).

X-MEN Universe is sneakily getting very Female dominated. All three films next year have a nice amount of female mutants potentially cast.

Mcavoy and Jolie were leads in Wanted and McAvoy and Chastain were lovers in "Disappearance of Eleanor rigby" IIRC.
