This is pretty much what I said they would release. I said you would probably have to wait years for a good fold-out collectible trilogy boxset. This seems to be just a simple card-board box with the 3 normal original DVD movies inside.

Yes. It is the trilogy box-set after all. But you probably won't get anything new with it than you get on the original seperate movie DVD's.

...'cept for a somewhat ugly cardboard box to put 'em in.

No it doesn't say anything about extra material but then again on the X3 The Last Stand (2 disc) page it doesn't either. We'll just have to wait for the update on the page.

I don't plan on buying the boxset just to get a cool cover. If it has tons of new features i may consider it.

Thats what I'm saying, it will probably only have the extra material that the original DVD's had in the first place.

Just shoved inside a cardboard box. The same ol' same ol' cheapass ploy that they always do. And already did do for just X1 and X2. sigh.

Probably same here. I used to buy all these box sets but don't have the inclination anymore, unless you get meaningful extras.

I'm not going to buy the box, I already have 2 disk X1 and X2, it would be a waste to buy them again for the sakes of that ugly silver box they'd come in.

I would pretty much bet a whole lotta money that there won't be any extra special features in that boxset. Like I said, it'll probably just be a cheaspass boxset with nothing more new than the rubbish cardboard cover.

Sad but true. It's a plot thats been pulled dozens of times, just sticking the original DVD's inside a crappy new cardboard cover and making people buy 'em all over again.

Sad thing is, they already pulled this with X1 and X2 boxed together. THREE times no less. And FOUR times if you count them being thrown in with a couple of other superhero movies.

And on all of these boxsets, none of them got any extra special features. So thats why I am pretty much 100% certain that this new trilogy boxset wont have any new extras either.

It looks like people who have the first films already will pass on the boxset. Hopefully these guys will learn that you need to do something extra to get people to repurchase things they have already paid for once.
