They say this because it looked like the body of the guy in a coma that you saw in the classroom scene. It could be Professor's twin if he has one.

He said as much in an interview. It was a scene that was shot secretly during a lunch break or something, and the studio didn't even know about it until later.

That might be,but I believe that it was intended to be the body you saw in the classroom scene. The guy who didn't have really any brain functions and Prof. was asking his class if it was morally right to transfer somebody else's brian into his body. Now the speculation is whether that was Professor X's twin brother's body. It is not the Prof.'s original body.

Just because its Patrick Stewart doesn't mean its charles Xavier, have you never seen a movie or something when 1 person plays to parts? well its like that only instead of playing 2 parts at once patrick stewart is playing a new character who is the twin brother of his old character, make scense?

Does the Prof. have an identical twin that he could put his mind and soul into because somehow it doesn't look like Ms. Nova was the body he went into at the end of the film.

No prob. You see Moira walk into the the room and she says hello to the body laying on the bed. Then you hear in Patrick Stewart say "Hello Moira."
She replies, "charles" Then it is over.

She didn't look at his body. I think that the current speculation is that it was his twin brother so their wouldn't be a physical difference.

whatever it was, the end credit scene was a load of horse hockey. What are we supposed to infer from a) the initial ethical debate, b) the Obiwan-like death scene, and c)the eventual transfer?

Charles Xavier knows it is unethical to make such a switch, but allows Phoenix to kill him for he knows he can save himself by choosing to act in an unethical manner.

it was the brain dead patient from the video with Prof X lecturing his class explaining how one can move his conscience to another body wish Prof X problem is I hope the that some how they do some kinda Matrix thing where Agents travel to different bodies but still look like themselves as Agents. It would be lame for Prof X (and I also imagine Jean Grey) to come back and not look like themselves and be in other bodies. but we'll see if there should be an X4 what would happen??
