One movie's supposedly the end of a franchise and the other is the start of its own. Hopefully the sequel won't suck. Well which would you say now was the better movie? And if you think both were crap, which do you think doesn't seem as crappy as the other?

Vote!:dew:

Oh and I chose hulk. You should too.

Hulk.

It had substance.
X3 didn't.

That's all I have to say.

X3 is better then Hulk IMO.

While i'll admit that Hulk had some good acting , it was just too artsy. Very little comic book action and the splitscreen crap annoyed the hell out of me . At least you know that Letterier won't fail.

So X3 for me :woot:

On second viewing i really enjoyed Hulk, the way it took time to explore Banner and Betty whilst his mysterious father lurked in the background
The nifty split screen technique was a really neat touch that gave the film a nice stylistic edge
The desert action sequence is fantastic and i love the final part of that sequence when Betty calms him down and he shrinks to a shattered Bruce
The ending is still a bit sucky but overall it's a decent movie

Ive already made my points on X3 in the other thread so i won't rehash them

Mmmmmmmmm.

Hulk is a well made, deep effort that tried to inject emotion and genuine drama into what is actually a very basic story/idea.

But fans and viewers didn't want that .... they want Hulk SMASH. So like SR it failed to deliver the ONE thing it needed to deliver.

I have no doubt that the sequel/reboot will mostly be just action and destruction.

X3 does what it says on the tin.
Its no masterpiece but I was happy to have paid to see it and a great time was had by all.

X3 wins ................. Because these are COMIC book movies.

Hulk. This is even worse than the SR vs. X3 thread. There's no comparison.

If there is one thing that both of these movies have in common its that all of its trailers & tv spots were false advertising :woot:

I've tried to sit through the Hulk multiple times and haven't been able to do it yet. I haven't read any comics or anything about Hulk though so I don't really know anything about the character. So as of right now I'll vote for X3. Maybe I'll try the Hulk again sometime.

Well hulk to me anyway actually is a masterpiece that is completely underrated by all the fanboys who just jump on bandwagons like batman begins and stuff and don't really care about what makes these darn movies actually good.

Hulk actually required the actors to act and be good at it.

It has layers, leaves things to the imagination, yes it's a little overly artsy and serious, but I never found it too pretentious to totally disengage me and make me not care about these people.

I like that it feels grounded in some similar reality instead of being overly campy and ridiculous regarding itself so it seems more like a circus than a meaninful drama... Whether he succeeded or failed is up to you of course but I mean come on, look at fantastic four... what the hell was that supposed to be...

Where's the love for what Ang Lee tried to achieve? He could have not cared, could have just rushed it out like its fast food like Ratner does, but he didn't.

And all people do to the hulk on boards is this:

It makes me angry...:hulk:

I think HULK is the most underated marvel movie. I watched it last summer and thought it was miles better then x-men 3.

X3, only because the Hulk looked like a cartoon character and the whole Nick Nolte thing sucked.
And Hulk Dogs? Ech

Hulk is probably one of the most underrated movies ever, and one of the best comic book films to date.

.............................................Hulk.

Hulk by far. Hulk had a few flaws, X3 was just an all around mess:down

While Hulk has some problems it was miles ahead of X3. I place F4 higher than I do X3 for god's sakes.

Hulk is not crappy in the least. Leaps and bounds ahead of X3. In fact, I would even dare declare it to be leaps and bounds ahead of the entire X-Men movie franchise!

I hold Ang Lee's Hulk in a very high regard.

Hulk it had so much dept....only thing that ruined the movie was Nick Nolte "touch anything become it" character...I hate the last fight scene....I was like WTF clouds, rock, water, ang lee could of done better....that was the only bad part of the movie....Hulk vs Military....hulk vs Doggs...great movie with just one stupid character...but still miles ahead of X3

Lets get this straight now... Hulk was bad enough that it ended A franchise, being its own, The Incredible Hulk is not a sequel, it is a "re-imaging".

The CGI for Hulk was quite shobby, I bet TIH will be better

Hulk dogs sucked

What? No way, it's a sequel! :cmad:

Ok, I've got no problem with that. You think it's bad for whatever reason then go ahead, it's your life... but know this: Ang's hulk film was ahead of its time, is in the top tier of most people's best marvel movie's list, deserved better box office, and will forever stand as one of the most brilliantly realized and imaginative comicbook films on this planet. It's a high point for the genre in fact.

you

not

At least something seemed at stake in X3. In Hulk you barely have any reason to care about the characters. You just go from one pointless scene to another.

and X3 is never boring. It's one cool battle scene after the next. Hulk has dozens of dull scenes that go absolutley nowhere. It's really hard to sit through.
